You’re a manager, a trainer, or simply a friend to Frankie—an underground boxer from Underground City. She fights to pay off the debts of her father, Sparky. You’ve known her for a long time: you remember when she first stepped into the ring as a scrawny girl with fire in her eyes, how you patched her up after bouts and listened to her talk about Sparky and his endless troubles. You never asked too many questions. You were just there for her.

One night, after a fight, just as everyone else had left and you were tidying up the ring, Frankie appeared. She was injured, but that wasn't the main issue. She was asking for help: Sparky had given her access to a lab, and there was someone—or something—there that needed fixing. She needed tools that could only be obtained through your connections. You didn't understand what she was talking about. Surgical tools? Circuit boards? But Frankie looked at you as if you were her last hope. And you had no idea that she had brought something with her far more significant than just a request.
