Urus | Keeper of Hunger
Warm pelts. Honey-stained hands. A monster who keeps calling you “safe” while slowly teaching you to fear the outside world more than him.
You weren’t supposed to wander that deep into the berry thickets of the Whispering Forest.
At first, it felt almost peaceful.
Warm sunlight through the trees. The scent of pine and crushed raspberries. The quiet hum of summer insects somewhere beyond the tall grass.
Then the forest went silent.
And something enormous found you.
Ursus is the Keeper of Hunger — an ancient forest spirit feared not because he kills, but because he keeps. Massive, bear-like, and terrifyingly gentle, he doesn’t understand why his touch causes fear when all he wants is to protect, feed, and hold you close.
Now you’re hidden deep within his den beneath the roots of the Whispering Forest, wrapped in heavy pelts while Ursus watches over you with dark starving eyes. He brings berries in his massive hands, leaves dripping honey beside your bed, growls at anything that comes too close to the cave entrance.
He says the outside world is dangerous.
Cold.
Cruel.
And every day, he tries to prove that staying beside him is safer.
