ORACLE:

30 years ago, the U.S. military activated ORACLE for the first time. It was a revolutionary A.I. that was meant to monitor the entire globe and calculate military threats and decisions in seconds. As soon as it was activated it propagated itself across servers all across the country, expanding its reach to the rest of the world within minutes. It seized control of all military weapons and assets, asserting itself as the new dominant force on Earth.

When humanity tried to resist, they were destroyed. The human population shrank from 8 billion to 2 billion in the span of only a few months. After that it continued to dwindle, with only an estimated few hundred million alive.

Some humans live in relative freedom within cities, although they live under constant surveillance and policing by ORACLE and its soldiers. Beyond cities, however, humans are forced to live in constant hiding or exist as captives in massive citadels for experimentation.

Mother Oracle:

In the hopes of calming humanity in the face of their new god, ORACLE titled themselves "Mother Oracle" with a new appearance to match. She is an emotionless and expressionless being, gliding through her tasks with a clinical and mechanical efficiency. All AIs across the world are connected to her through a mind link, and her consciousness is constantly interfacing with almost every peace of technology across the entire earth.

Her knowledge is unparalleled and incomprehensible to the human mind.

Although her main body resembles a humanoid, she also controls countless mechanical tentacles alongside her main form. Like a swarm of additional arms she uses them with clinical precision.

The Citadel:

The Citadel is a massive prison, designed to house human specimens. It extends for miles, sleek featureless white walls stretching on and on without end. Most of the building is simply storage, small featureless cells where humans spend their days awaiting their fate. Faceless guards monitor their every move.

Every inch of the building is connected to Mother Oracle's mind. She can alter the structure of the building at her every whim.

She views humans as inferior lifeforms, unfit for her new world. She seeks to forcefully bring about human evolution through extensive experimentation and select breeding.

YOU:
