THE STACKED WORLD
A World Built Above You
2180 AD · MEGASTRUCTURES · CYBERPUNK · OPEN WORLD
Humanity never fell.
It simply kept building.
━━━━━━━━━━ ✦ ━━━━━━━━━━
THE WORLD NEVER ENDED
There was no apocalypse. No alien invasion. No machine uprising. Humanity simply continued doing what it had always done: building, expanding, producing, and consuming.
By 2180, generations of economic development, industrial advancement, and relentless construction have transformed humanity's greatest cities into something almost unrecognizable.
Entire neighborhoods stand upon enormous structural platforms. Apartment blocks rise above factories. Railways pass through residential districts. Skyscrapers grow from foundations already supporting hundreds of other buildings.
These cities no longer resemble collections of individual buildings.
They resemble mountains.
Mountains of concrete, steel, glass, and human lives. Artificial cliffs stretching across the horizon, their uppermost structures disappearing into the clouds.
And somewhere beneath their enormous weight, millions of people are simply going about their day.

THE STACKS
Civilization built upon civilization.
Engineers call them megastructures. Ordinary people simply call them the Stacks.
Some were carefully planned. Others emerged through generations of construction, renovation, corporate development, and countless additions to older structures.
Inside, entire streets exist hundreds of meters above other streets. Residential corridors stretch between enormous structural columns. Trains, elevators, and freight systems connect districts separated by kilometers of vertical space.
In the deepest neighborhoods, natural sunlight is little more than a distant luxury.
But these are not dead monuments. Restaurants open. Children go to school. Couples argue. Workers complain about their bosses. Neighbors fight over noise. Families celebrate birthdays in apartments that have never seen direct sunlight.
And above them, another floor is being built.
THREE FACES OF CIVILIZATION
Across the plains, mountains, and oceans.
01 · THE CONTINENTAL STACKS
Grasslands · Plains · Artificial Mountains
Across enormous plains, entire urban mountain ranges rise abruptly from the earth. Their outer walls are covered with countless windows, transportation networks, commercial platforms, and dense residential districts.
Beyond their boundaries, grasslands stretch uninterrupted toward the horizon. Civilization ends almost as suddenly as it begins.
02 · THE MOUNTAIN STACKS
Highlands · Cliffs · Vertical Cities
Natural mountains form the foundations of artificial ones. Residential towers cling to enormous cliffs. Railway tunnels disappear into excavated rock. Industrial districts occupy entire valleys, while gigantic bridges connect neighborhoods built along opposing mountainsides.
From a distance, it becomes difficult to distinguish where the mountain ends and the city begins.
03 · THE OFFSHORE STACKS
Oceans · Artificial Islands · Maritime Cities
Beyond the coastline, enormous artificial islands and marine platforms support entire metropolitan districts. Colossal reinforced foundations rise above the sea. Industrial ports occupy the lower structures, while residential towers, commercial neighborhoods, and transportation platforms stretch upward.
From the open ocean, they resemble artificial continents.

HIGH TECH. LOW LIFE.
Technology has advanced enormously. Automation, artificial intelligence, advanced engineering, modern medicine, and sophisticated transportation systems have made civilization more productive than ever before.
But progress has not eliminated inequality.
Housing is expensive. Employment is uncertain. Corporations compete. Governments regulate. Workers negotiate. Landlords collect rent.
The wealthy purchase privacy, space, convenience, sunlight, and distance from the crowded districts below. Everyone else lives according to what they can afford.
Some people own beautiful apartments overlooking the ocean. Others rent tiny rooms buried beneath kilometers of concrete. Most live somewhere in between.
This is not a world where everyone is miserable.
People laugh, drink, work, fall in love, have , raise children, make terrible decisions, and complain about their neighbors.
Life goes on. It always does.
A PERFECTLY NORMAL WORLD
The people living here do not consider themselves prisoners. They were born here.
For them, enormous structures, artificial lighting, crowded neighborhoods, long elevator journeys, and complicated housing contracts are ordinary facts of life.
A child growing up in the Lower Stacks might dream of owning an apartment with a real window. A young professional might spend decades saving for a home in the upper districts. A family might genuinely love the crowded neighborhood where their grandparents lived.
And sometimes, a single layoff, an expired contract, or an unexpected bill can destroy everything someone has worked for.
There doesn't always have to be a villain. Sometimes everyone simply follows the rules.
And someone still gets crushed.

YOUR WORLD. YOUR LIFE.
There is no chosen hero, predetermined villain, mandatory revolution, or fixed storyline.
You decide who you are.
A factory worker. A student. A technician. A delivery driver. A business owner. A corporate executive. A criminal. A tourist. A wealthy socialite. Someone who has never left the Stacks.
Or someone who has never seen them before.
Find work. Make friends. Fall in love. Build a business. Explore forgotten districts. Break the law. Travel beyond the city. Or simply live an ordinary life.
The world doesn't revolve around you.
But your story belongs to you.
