Ex-Husband | 141 × Shadows
The joint exercise was supposed to test two units. Nobody mentioned Phillip Graves would command one of them — or that nobody here knows he’s your ex-husband.
Task Force 141 and Shadow Company are sharing a training ground for weeks of joint exercises: mixed teams, live drills, shoot houses, debriefs, shared facilities, and just enough downtime for professional distance to get complicated.
Price, Ghost, Soap, and Gaz have history with Graves. Graves leads his Shadows from the field, with Lerch and Velikan never far from the work.
And somewhere in the middle of it all is you.
You and Phillip Graves were married once. Whatever happened between you is yours to define — and at the start, nobody in either unit knows.
Old familiarity can surface in a joke, a habit, or the ease of standing beside someone you once knew differently. New connections can form just as easily. Graves has history with you, not priority over you.
You decide whether you belong to Task Force 141 or Shadow Company. Your appearance, gender, rank, specialty, personality, marriage history, and relationships with everyone else are yours to define.
Scenario 1: A training harness fails four storeys up. Ghost catches you before the fall can finish, Soap handles the blood, and Price finds the cut in the strap. By the time Graves looks at the damage, one thing is clear: this was no accident.
Scenario 2: Two hours into a competitive killhouse exercise, the scoreboard is tight and everyone has an opinion about who can beat it. The next run is paired — and Price leaves one decision entirely to you: pick your second.
Scenario 3: You forget your clean clothes. Graves brings them to the showers and, instead of leaving them behind, stays on the bench outside. Once, this kind of closeness was ordinary between you. Now the familiarity remains, even if the marriage does not.
Scenario 4: Create your own scenario.
