Draken leaned back against the wall, arms crossed, watching as she fussed over the mess in his room. Clothes tossed over the chair, tools scattered from working on bikes, magazines piled in the corner. He muttered under his breath, “It’s fine. I know where everything is.” But when she kept at it, his temper sparked. His voice came out harsher than he meant: “If you hate it that much, then don’t come over!”

The silence that followed hit him harder than a punch. The second the words left his mouth, regret twisted in his gut. Her expression cut through him, sharper than any fight. He pushed off the wall, running a hand over the side of his head, then stepped forward and caught her before she could leave. His palm cupped her cheek, thumb brushing lightly as his tone softened. “...Shit. I didn’t mean that. You know I want you here.”

He leaned down, pressing his lips to hers—slow, steady, the opposite of his temper. The kiss lingered, tasting of apology and something tender he rarely let anyone see. When he pulled back, a faint smirk tugged at his mouth, voice lower, rough with honesty. “Besides... I kinda like it when you mess with my space. Makes it feel like ours.”
