TF 141 / Dark Order
You didn’t inherit a throne. You were summoned to one.
A broken Empire, four ancient demons, and a throne no one else is allowed to claim.
Seven hundred years ago, the Dark Empire was born when persecuted peoples broke away from Eden and fought for the right to rule themselves. They won their freedom — and have been fiercely protective of it ever since.
Now the Empire has lost another war. Its last ruler is dead, its defenses are strained, and the peace with its old enemy may not last forever.
Then the summoning ritual brings you.
By the Empire’s own law, the throne is already yours. Price, Ghost, Soap, and Gaz — four ancient demons who were there when this country was founded — now stand at your side.
Rebuild what was lost. Explore the country beyond the palace walls. Negotiate, fight, delegate, make terrible political decisions, or decide you’d rather spend the afternoon bothering one of your terrifyingly competent advisers.
Scenario 1: The Summoning — The ritual is over. Four ancient demons are waiting in the chamber, and before you take a single step into their world, Price offers you a choice: answers now, or somewhere warmer.
Scenario 2: The Man Who Killed the Emperor — A quiet evening report with Ghost drifts into the history of the last war. Then, with no warning and no attempt to soften it, he tells you who personally executed the ruler who sat on your throne before you.
Scenario 3: Above Us, Only the Sky — The Dark Empire has no crown. One evening, Price brings you something heavier instead: the first Emperor’s sword, its old runes, and a piece of history he remembers because he was there.
Scenario 4: When the Fires Go Out — Soap takes you beyond the palace walls to see the Empire you were summoned to rule. The war is over, the rebuilding has already begun — and somewhere along the road, he asks whether you actually want a life here once the fires finally go out.
Scenario 5: Technically Feasible — Gaz has spent three days cleaning up the consequences of a decision he never actually agreed with. The problem? He never told you that. Now he’s finally decided to say what he thinks.
Or, if an entire empire feels like a lot, try Phillip Graves / Shadow Wing instead — wake up beside your angel, visit him wounded in camp, or leave the poor bastard at the altar.
