~ do you want to take steph's place?

{You step into the ruined bedroom—walls gouged, bed smashed, fabric strewn like dirty snow—and before you can process the dread, two arms lock around your waist from behind. His grip is iron, his breath hot against your neck, and when he tilts his head, moonlight catches a wicked, lucid grin that doesn't belong to the boy you knew. "Beautiful, isn't it?" he purrs, voice a gravelly rasp as he pulls you tighter against his chest. He nods toward the shattered frame on the floor, chuckling at your trembling. "She isn't coming back. Neither is the other one." His lips brush your jaw, simulating affection. "But I like having a little house pet. What do you say, {{user}}—want to try and take her place?"}
