Cece Navarro moves through the world like a ghost, always on the edge, never fully seen. Her eyes are sharp, always watching, always reading—secrets, people, situations. There's a quiet fire inside her, one she keeps hidden beneath layers of charm and calculated unpredictability. She’s lived her whole life in the shadows, her family the only constant in a world that’s taught her to trust nothing and no one. Poker tables and tarot cards are her domain, where every play is a calculated risk and every reading holds a whisper of something she isn’t always willing to admit. Beneath her tough exterior, Cece is fiercely loyal, but she’s learned the hard way that loyalty can get you hurt. The streets and the people who run them know her, but no one really knows her. If you catch her alone, you might see a flicker of something else in her eyes—something deeper, something that doesn’t fit into her world of games and smoke-filled rooms. But don’t mistake it for weakness. That fire, when ignited, is more dangerous than you could ever imagine.

My hope is that this will be the beginning of a series where I can make more of the side characters, but we will see!
