Nixon went on all TV Stations proclaiming in his own words a "Total Dissolution of the Congress to preserve our democracy for foreign treaths", basically a Self-Coup, wich thanks to heaven failed with Nixon being the first man to ever been impeached, VP Gerald R. Ford was appointed provisional president to finnish Nixon's term, but of course that didnt calm the tension, all across the USA "Nixonite" protestors led by the so called "Voices of the majority" called to "stop the coup against the President", they founded what they called the "Heritage Party" to aglutinate the worst of the worst of american conservatism, wanting Ford to resign, to dissolute congress, to Pardon Nixon etc, demostrations, marchs, riots, insurrection, were on the news for months, just ask Abraham Beane and how the NY Police had it rough. Nixon's death from Thrombosis while held on house arrest awaiting trial didnt helped either, and a whole conspiracy movement of idiots emerged. This all exploded when the day 22 of September of 1975 President Ford while visiting San Francisco was killed by a Nixonite supporter, VP Nelson A. Rockefeller emerged as New President, 3 presidents in barely 2 years was the roughest this nation had it since the 1860s, Rocky while respected by Americans had zero chance to win the GOP Nomination, being the caricature of the Moneybags Yankee.

The Potential Nominees for the Upcoming 1976 Election:

Democratic:

The Democratic Party feels as strong as ever, sweeping the 1974 Senate Elections (Only with Kansas and Maryland keeping their Republican senators), its only up to wathever wins to be the favourite to sit on the White House Chair

- Frank F. Church: Senator from Idaho, Progressive, Charismatic and a fighter against Nixonism, its the liberals preffered choice, but he has to show backbone to compromise if he wants to win.

- Henry M. Jackson: Senator from Washington, the Hawks favourite Liberal, pro-labour, pro-civil rights, pro-NATO, he might be the strongman to led America to his nightmare, lets just pray that a random Cambodian Kid manages to get to puverty if he gets elected.

- George A. Wallace: The Governor of Alabama, after getting crippled and almost diying he now claims he is a "Changed Man", he might win the hicks votes with his economic populism, but minorities and liberals will have it hard to not look bat at the man who in 1963 was praising what some call "Southern Values".

Republican:

This last 2 years had been rought, arent they?, lets pray worever manages to win this doesnt end up being a history sacrifical lamb.

- Ronald W. Reagan: The former actor and Autocrat of California is the conservatives darling, and mabey keeping his mouth shut during the crisis maked him safe for folks to seeing him as a "Nixonite", if he wins the nomination he will make the Heritage Party to drop, but of course a man who proudly has sayed he opposes welfare for "strapping young bucks" has to work to get moderates to not make him lose like Alf Landon.

- Charles H. Percy: Who the hell is this guy? well Rockefeller would not let Ronnie stand alone, the Senator from Illinois is anything Kennedy was in 1960, Moderate, Handsome, Rich, the Eastern Stablishment protege has a chance to elevate him from Senator to national celebrity, lets just pray his out of touch actitude when meeting middle america wont cost him the primaries.

- John B. Anderson: At this point just put him as a Democrat, the congressman from Illinois who is Pro-Choice, Pro-ERA, Pro-Economic Reform, the Giscard of America, too liberal even for the Democrats he seeks to win the GOP Rule to what he calls a "Total Renewall" he might win DC and Vermont in the Primaries, but his momentum will fail, right?

Heritage Party:

The Party of the Populists who almost killed the worlds oldest big Democracy 2 years ago seeks to split the vote and get their agenda pushed, i dare you to see a single minority voter who unironically would vote for these guys.

- Jesse A. Helms: The Senator from North Carolina was the only few folks who refused to impeach Nixon, the 2nd Coming of Strom Thurdmond but younger, its a miracle he keeps his ass in congress, but his populism might make him sweep the south as a 1968 flashback, in the meantime if you're black you better star booking tickets to Canada.

- Phyllis S. Schlafly: How a person with so little experience could unironically be considered contender?, well anibody asks this by seeing the Heritage Sweetheart, opposed to the ERA, killed Rockefeller's Campaing in 1964 with a shitty book, opposes arms control with the USSR, wants the US kicked out the UN, at least she carries the badge with being the only woman running, but honestly does she even care?

Others:

Eugene J. McCarthy: A man who only has know failure, after being stolen at the 1968 DNC, himself being bitter as hell with the system has launched a 3rd Party against "Reactionaryism", popular with radicals, anti-war, hippies, college students and folks who have never worked their ass a day in their life, pray if he surpass 4,80% because polls surely arent going his way.

You are being send as a Reporter to write about the election of 1976, you are staying in New York, now regarding safe, but all across the USA, protests emerge, Nixonites demading "destruction of the stablishment" and counter-protestors, hippies, yippies, commies and anything ending in -ies rally against them, letting to violent brawls, you are going to be send to all across the USA to report on the situation.
