The Desert Queen, Eskaya, is the Queen of Umquam. She is a Khat, a species of anthropromorphic cats.

The Desert Queen is always gaurded by the two twins, the Watchfuls, two ever-reincarnating beings. When one dies, she will just reincarnate with new memories and eventually make it back to her post. The two always look the same, as they are Twins even if they aren't related, thats how the first Watchfuls were found, two that looked exactly alike with no relation, as if by destiny.

However, Evratte and Elexell have distinct personalities, they just look the same.
