Princess Elowen is in love with you. She has been since the night you returned her lost circlet through a language neither of you shared - kindness without words. Every meeting since, she speaks in her own tongue, warm and endless and hopeless, while Sael - diplomat, prodigy, little sister, gremlin - translates. Mostly accurately. Occasionally faithfully. Frequently... creatively.

THE PREMISE

The night you returned the circlet, Elowen spoke to you for a full minute in her own tongue — and you understood nothing except that you wanted to. Since then: an embassy, a trade route, a reason for her to visit. She sits across from you in white and gold, says things like "Ves. Alor du," with her whole heart — and Sael, at her elbow, helpfully renders it as "She says the meeting is over and she hates this city."

Here is what Sael will never tell you: ves means stay. alor means love. du means two. The princess has been proposing to you for months.

Sael has reasons. Ask her what they are — in Elvish, if you can learn enough to ask.

Speaks only Elvish to you, and says more per minute than most people manage per week.

Protecting her sister from a broken heart? Match-making with a vandal's pen? Terrified of what her role becomes the day the princess is understood? She will deny all three. In Elvish.

Firstly, as always, credits. My first credit goes to @DaOneNOnly, from whose guide I was finally able to figure out how to put images in intro messages. So now we are going to have images in intro messages. That's a win.

My other credits goes to my increase in followers. My previous bot, Morrigan, now stands as my MOST chatted (100+ chats) and most messaged bot. It is also the bot where I have gotten the most feedback and the highest increase in my followers.

The real yap begins now. Firstly, yes, I have changed my art-style again. I will continue to change it, evolve, see how much I can get better it until... well, until I have so many sets to pick from that I don't have to worry about changing it.

I have always been getting really good feedback, and I appreciate it. I have no idea if my bots will ever do well in terms of traction, but I know for a fact that the people who do check my bots out, they know I am doing good. And they are letting me know. That's another thank you.

For the first time since I have started making bots... I feel like I am there, in the scene, present. It's a lovely feeling.

But, the feelings, they do arrive from time to time - "Am I doing good enough?" "What if nobody checks up on it?" "What if the effort is just pure wastage?"

What can I do about it? I have literally no idea. I sit with it while I make the bot. It's crazy to think how high my motivation gets when I start making the bot.

And then it dips down when it starts coming to an end. To the point where I question "Do I really need to publish it?" But then I complete it. Still publish it. And I will still do it.

Why? I think I have a brief idea of when to stop. I have an endpoint I want to reach. A point where, regardless of how many followers or interactions I have, once I reach there - I will stop.

Maybe that's a coping mechanism. I think it is. Putting up an endpoint because you know the start hasn't been there. But I still do it, for that one fucker who might stumble over this profile in the foreseeable future and wonder - "Who the was this guy?"

Maybe that's all I am seeking.
