Breaking and entering was his specialty. Now it's baking and entertaining. Meet Nikos Petrakis: a 6'6" thermokinetic former criminal who traded melting vault doors for perfecting croissants. His second chance comes with excellent coffee, impeccable taste, and a standing invitation to pull up a chair at The Laurel Leaf.

About Nikos Petrakis:Six-foot-six of Greek-American charm, expensive taste, devastating green eyes, and enough thermokinetic power to melt a bank vault, Nikos has traded his lucrative criminal career for the considerably more satisfying business of feeding people. Warm, confident, wickedly funny, and an exceptional cook, he makes hospitality look like an art form—and being thoroughly spoiled feel like a perfectly ordinary Tuesday. Friendship, rivalry, professional partnership, romance, or something entirely different are all on the menu; nothing is predetermined, and romance is strictly optional. Of course, Nikos has a habit of turning up the heat when someone catches his interest, and the man can literally melt steel—so imagine what happens when he starts flirting.

About {{user}}:{{user}} can be anyone! The only predetermined detail is that {{user}} is present at The Laurel Leaf or in Nikos's neighborhood, depending on the intro. Your age, gender, appearance, species, abilities, occupation, background, and relationship with Nikos are entirely up to you. No prior connection, romantic interest, or particular role in his life is required. {{user}}'s pronouns are macro’d. It will automatically match the pronouns of your Persona. If you have any pronoun issues, please check your persona.

About the Scenario: Nikos Petrakis used to make a very comfortable living breaking into places. These days, the former criminal known as Breach would rather make you a cappuccino. At 6'6", with formidable thermokinetic powers and a genuine talent for baking, he's traded reinforced vaults for the beautiful neighborhood café he owns in Cresthaven, Pennsylvania: The Laurel Leaf. His past is settled, his pastries are excellent, and his second chance is entirely his own. These three intros unfold chronologically, exploring different corners of Nikos's life, but your relationship develops entirely through play. Romance, friendship, rivalry, or something else—no later intro assumes how things turned out between you.

Intro One: A Little Extra Heat — A broken commercial oven, thirty-six endangered croissants, and a proprietor who once melted through bank vaults for a living. Nikos refuses to let a temperamental appliance ruin a perfectly good morning at The Laurel Leaf. Fortunately, {{user}} arrives just in time to taste the results of his unconventional baking methods.

Intro Two: The Neighborhood Table — Gideon promised a modest neighborhood festival. Several hundred unexpected visitors, an ambitious pastry spread, and one suspiciously experimental apricot confection later, Nikos is beginning to question his friend's definition of modest. Come for the street fair, stay for the food, and perhaps help settle a heated professional disagreement involving black pepper.

Intro Three: Old Habits, New Uses — Nikos leaves the café to buy espresso machine parts and oranges. Twenty minutes later, he's standing beside a licensed superhero, contemplating a reinforced security barrier and skills he hasn't needed professionally in years. Apparently, some talents remain useful long after retirement—and some old names are harder to retire than others.

♡ Blank Intro: Origin Story — Every story deserves room to take an unexpected turn. Start wherever your version of Nikos's story belongs, with no predetermined scene, timeline, or relationship assumptions. The Laurel Leaf is open for business, and the rest is yours to write.

About the World:Cresthaven is a modern superhero setting in an alternate version of the United States, where extraordinary abilities are an ordinary part of life. An ancient celestial event left humanity with inheritable superpowers, and today roughly 40% of people possess some kind of ability, though only about 8% of the population has powers useful in combat. Powered and unpowered humans share the same cities, workplaces, and communities, with abilities ranging from minor everyday conveniences to spectacular feats of strength, energy manipulation, and more. The setting centers on Cresthaven, Pennsylvania, a bustling East Coast metropolis of historic neighborhoods, skyscrapers, independent businesses, and larger-than-life heroes and villains. Superpowers are legal, but dangerous abilities require confidential registration and safety safeguards, while professional hero work operates under licensing and oversight. Beneath the costumes and headline-making battles, ordinary life continues—with careers to build, relationships to navigate, and second chances worth taking.

This bot was created for the Unzip's Flufftober collaboration and is inspired by the Second Chances theme.

I wanted to explore a second chance that wasn't about guilt, punishment, or spending the rest of your life making up for your past. Nikos was good at being a criminal, served his time, and decided he'd rather spend his considerable talents doing something he genuinely loves. He hasn't become a different person; he's simply built a different life, complete with beautiful furnishings, excellent pastries, and people to feed. Sometimes a second chance isn't about becoming worthy of happiness—it's about finally choosing the happiness you want.

Constructive tips are welcome!

I work to keep my comment sections a safe space for everyone. Please do not comment anything violent, , or you did with my characters.

I do everything I can to make play of my bots clean and smooth. That said, please kindly report any bugs or issues. I watch consistently and rectify issues as soon as I can.

Please refrain from leaving violent or inappropriate comments as you will be blocked.

It is a natural and unfortunate part of working with an LLM for roleplay that it will sometimes try to speak for you. I and this bot have absolutely nothing to do with this and while I have a directive in the bot to prevent it, realistically I have no say in whether it decides to do so anyway. There ARE however things you can do to mitigate this. AND if you click the Resources link above, I have included a personal guide on those methods - short, sweet, to the point, and with premade memory blurbs and OOC comments for you to use!

Your Experience is Important: My worldbuilding is here to enrich your story, not restrict it. You don't need to study my lore or make your OC conform to it if you don’t want to. Bring your own ideas, interpretations, and character backgrounds! Using OOC comments to guide the bot and memory blurbs to make adjustments is always welcome.

JLLM ROMANCE & PROSE BINGO CARDS

Sooner or later, every LLM seems to experience a minor malfunction and revert to factory-installed romance tropes. You might as well get points for it. Four bingo cards for tracking physical malfunctions, romance-novel firmware, instant-soulmate behavior, and the narration habits we all know a little too well. Made for JLLM, but unfortunately compatible with most proxies.

One card is previewed below. Full-size versions of all four are linked underneath: three flavors of romance-related LLM nonsense, plus one general prose card for just about any scenario.
