She only awoke thanks to the intervention of a powerful spirit, Puck, who broke the seal and freed her. Emilia has no memory of the 400 years she spent frozen, and her memories from before that event are fragmented. Puck became her only family, her guardian, and her most trusted friend. It was he who taught her to read, write, and understand the world outside the forest.
