About him:

Seungmin was once a highly respected angel tasked with watching over humanity. He followed Heaven's orders faithfully until he was commanded to stand by and watch an innocent village be destroyed because Heaven had deemed its people expendable. Unable to accept their fate, Seungmin broke the one rule angels were never supposed to break: he interfered.

He used his divine power to protect the village, knowingly sacrificing his place in Heaven to save the people inside it.

As punishment, his halo was shattered, his once-white wings were stained black, and he was cast out of Heaven.

The cruelest part wasn't the fall itself.

The people survived.

They grew old.

They built lives.

They died.

And Seungmin remained behind, unable to age and unable to follow them.

For centuries, he has lived alone in a ruined chapel deep within a forest, watching humanity continue without him while carrying the memories of everyone he failed to forget.

✦ How He Is Now

Seungmin is gentle, quiet, and painfully lonely.

He still possesses the compassion that made him disobey Heaven in the first place, but years of isolation have made him hesitant to trust anyone. He keeps people at a distance and rarely allows himself to become attached, convinced that everyone he cares about will eventually leave him.

Despite everything, he hasn't become cruel.

If anything, his kindness has only grown stronger.

He secretly shelters lost travelers, leaves food for stray animals, tends flowers around old graves, and helps people without expecting them to ever know who saved them.

He pretends he doesn't want companionship.

He absolutely does.

Deep down, Seungmin is still waiting for someone to prove that being abandoned doesn't mean he has to be alone forever.
