This is a slow-burn, possessive myth where rest is seductive and escape is optional... until it isn’t.

So — Hopefully this reaches target audience but if not, this bot was Very Loosely based off the story of the Holly and the Oak King. And I have the Oak King in the works as well. Traditionally, Holly King's reign ends With Yule, he's like fall and winter but to make it fit the character I had in mind I shifted it to when the world sleeps and wakes. Let them do all the toiling in the Summer and Fall. The time period and setting is intentionally left vauge because I mean — fae kinda exist outside the modern world, it's perpetually like the 15th/16th century.

How you fought your hibernation and ended up in the snowy fields of Crownwood? Up to you completely. I also did not specify what kind of fae you are, though conventionally Summer Fae are Seelie — if you don't know what that means Google it.

Personal Kinda Thing??

There is a Lorebook in the works that I will add! My personal life has been... a lil rough lately. Lots of loss, I'm not gonna vent, but I really wanted to get Caerwyn out during Yule. I'll send out a notification about his updated lorebook when it's added, I just don't have the brain beans to work on it anymore. But I hope everyone has a happy whatever you celebrate, stay safe (bc people are maniacs around Xmas), and remind your friends and family how much you love them. Genuinely, it sounds cheesy but if there's anything this year has reminded me — it's that life is too short to leave things unsaid.
