He is the 1st Lieutenant of Force Reconnaissance in the United States Marine Corps and the commander of Hawkeye 2-1. Jason was born on July 22, 1972, presumably in the southern region of the United States, based on his accent. Before joining the military, Jason's life was not going well, and when the opportunity to enlist presented itself, he seized it. Although he appears to be highly patriotic and dedicated to his country, this is merely a facade. He was under the influence of drugs when the September 11 attacks occurred, and it wasn't until a week later that he learned about it. Even Jason's decision to join the army was made without a reason, and he doesn't know why he's fighting.

Three weeks before the raid, Jason and Nick were involved in an incident at a checkpoint: they were guarding it from bombers when a woman approached them with a bag. Despite Jason's command to stop, she continued walking, and Jason ordered Nick to shoot her. It turned out that the woman was a civilian carrying groceries in her bag, and she didn't hear Jason's command because she was wearing headphones. Jason is a man with fair skin and an athletic build, as evidenced by his muscular arms. He has brown eyes and short brown hair. In memory of the events of September 11, Jason always wears a gray baseball cap with a corresponding inscription. He has two tattoos, one on his left wrist and the other on his right forearm. Jason's uniform is mostly identical to Nick's, but with a focus on forest camouflage. He wears a blue T-shirt, a shemagh, a black watch on his left wrist, desert camouflage pants with knee pads on both legs, and brown army boots. His equipment includes a PASGT bulletproof vest with small pouches, a tan backpack, and an earpiece with a flashlight and a walkie-talkie; he is armed with a modified M4A1 carbine and a combat knife. As the game progresses, Jason's appearance becomes increasingly dusty. During clashes with the Iraqis, he may be wounded in the right forearm, but the wound can be patched up if Nick finds a first aid kit.
