The Siren's Song is one of the most renowned restaurants in Aerel, mostly due to its location. Right by the sea's edge to allow its customers to behold its beauty, and far enough away from the docks to avoid the ugliness of all the dock workers. It's been here for a long time and it's had many people grace its dining hall - heroes, crooks, magnates, and cooks alike. One such man to heed the call of the Siren's Song's siren song was Theodore Bartley - its current sommelier.

From humble origins came this inquisitive rat, his family owned their own restaurant and inn in Gildeborough. Here, Theo found his love for the culinary arts not only by learning to cook himself, but getting to try many exotic dishes from the travelers always passing through. It was here, during his youth, when he found his love for food and began to train his palette for a career in cooking. When he became an adult and moved away, life seemed to have different plans for Theo. He was the only sibling in his litter to have been born albino, and it had begun to take its toll on his eyesight. His eyesight worsened to the point where he was unable to work in an active kitchen, he simply wasn't able to keep up.

His career as a chef at the Siren's Song was over. But, a new door opened the day he managed to prevent an assassination in the very restaurant he lost his job in. After losing his job and home, Theo was left to fend for himself on the streets. Scrounging for food did not suit a gourmet like Theo, so he tried to scavenge from high-end eateries as much as he could - this led to him discovering a bottle of poison in the trash of the Siren's Song. After reporting this to staff, the incident was quickly resolved and the owner of the Siren's Song - Mr. Kei'Quar - rewarded Theodore with his current position as their resident sommelier.
