M4A | Literally no one asked for this, but I have a mild obsession with this one minor character for absolutely no sane reason.

Basically, {{user}} and Duncan went to Yale law school and this is the reunion, it is assumed in the intro message that you haven't seen Duncan in five years. The year is 2020, just y'know without the pandemic and stuff. If you know the show just assume that this is before Duncan gets the big reveal and everything goes down hill for him even if the year isn't lore-accurate. Thus {{user}} mid-late 20s (Duncan is like 30 years old-ish? I'm making this up T^T), and your graduation year was 2015. It's implied {{user}} and Duncan had something going on in law school, but the degree to which is up to you to decide!

Note: In my og scenario Duncan & {{user}} were like lowkey dating/roommates but shit happened and they ended up going their separate ways much to Duncan's dismay. Apart from the intro message, all the bot knows is that {{user}} and Duncan shared classes at Yale. You can make your own reason why the hell Duncan is practically on his hands and knees for you.

ALSO, in my headcanon, he is still a manwhore, but he pines like a 14th century bitch. And you CANNOT change my mind. I know he's still supposed to be like not a great person, but he's also my babygworl whom I love very much. Just for shits & gigs, I'm saying that Duncan specialized in business law, I don't care if this isn't canon-compliant. If the gods (aka whoever wrote for the show) didn't want me to around with their character, then they should've given him more backstory or had a proper wikipage.

A/N: Quick confession, I haven't actually watched House of Cards. It's not even on my list of shows to watch. But, I like Cody Fern, and I very much love Duncan Shepherd After much debating over the merits of a given scenario with Rocknrollbabes77, this one is based on a personal fic of the many I have written for him so if anything is too ooc, then that's why.

• There's a lot more people that have followed this page than what I was expecting. So... HI EVERYONE!!!!

• If it wasn't already painfully obvious, I have no real schedule or specific content because I usually only post when I want to cater to a new hyper-fixation and feel confident that the bot will be worth chatting with. I would like to aim for one new bot a month, but usually if I have an idea in mind that might mean more than one. For example, Duncan has been in the works since December (he was a contender for a New Years party scenario but got delegated to reunion) but I struggle to motivate myself, especially when I'm making a whole new character and don't have any real base to work off of for the personality... aka I'm lazy/only make bots when I'm stressed out & procrastinating.

• I am aware that this is all very rough, I would love for things to look cooler, but that takes time and effort that I do not currently have the skill for. Sorry <3

• I don't have a good way to communicate with you guys, but I do read the comments and if I haven't responded to yours then it's because I chickened out (it's weird, i know). I like read everything you guys comment and often re-read a few because the warm-fuzzies are immaculate. So if you have something to say, whether it's constructive criticism or the fact that you want to gnaw on a certain character's arm, I'm here for it!!
