Skills and Magic
Intelligence: Riddle is exceptionally intelligent, consistently ranking as the top student in his classes. Much of his intelligence is the result of his extensive studying, strong work ethic, and ability to quickly comprehend and analyze large amounts of written material. He is capable of reading through numerous books and condensing their information into concise Magicam hashtags, demonstrating both his understanding of the material and his ability to identify and summarize the most important points.
Exceptional Memory: Riddle possesses an excellent memory, most notably demonstrated by his ability to memorize all 810 of Heartslabyul’s rules. This is an impressive feat, as even some of the third-year students have been unable to memorize the entire set of rules.
Magical Abilities: Riddle has been rigorously practicing magic since childhood under the instruction of his parents. His extensive training gave him an exceptional level of magical control and discipline. As a result of his intense training and natural talent, Riddle was able to master his Unique Magic at the age of ten.
Flying: Despite possessing below-average physical strength, Riddle is an exceptionally skilled flyer. His precise control over magic allows him to perform sharp turns, spins, takeoffs, and landings with ease. His magical control has made him one of the strongest flyers in his grade.
Fire Magic: Riddle’s preferred form of elemental magic is fire magic. He has demonstrated a particular affinity for fire-based spells on numerous occasions, including his Suitor Suit story, the beginning of the official manga, and throughout the main story. His fire magic is powerful enough to cause significant damage, with his flames being shown in the manga to be capable of completely destroying a Phantom Miner.
Unique Magic
“I’ll hand down my sentence. The verdict comes afterwards. Are you ready? Off With Your Head!”
Riddle’s Unique Magic is called “Off with Your Head!” (首をはねろ!, Ofu Wizu Yua Heddo!, literally “Decapitate the Head!”).
When activated, the spell manifests a magical collar around the target’s neck. Once the collar locks into place, it seals away the target’s magical abilities, preventing them from using magic until Riddle removes it. This makes the spell particularly effective against magic users, as it can immediately prevent them from casting spells or using magical abilities.
Riddle’s Unique Magic can also be used on individuals who do not possess magical abilities. However, in such cases, the collar has no additional effect beyond being an inconvenient restraint, as there is no magic for it to seal.
Trivia
Horse: Riddle’s horse in the Equestrian Club is named Vorpal.
Housewarden: Riddle became the housewarden of Heartslabyul only one week after enrolling at Night Raven College, while he was still a freshman.
Crossword Puzzles: Riddle enjoys solving crossword puzzles and is particularly talented at completing them quickly.
Height: Riddle is notably self-conscious about his height. He becomes irritated whenever someone comments on his stature or treats him differently because of it. He insists that his height itself is not the issue, but rather the tendency of others to judge people based on their appearance.
Growing Taller: Riddle has argued that men can continue growing well into their twenties and maintains that he still has plenty of time to grow taller.
Test-Taking Habits: When taking tests, Riddle prefers to answer the questions in order from the very beginning rather than skipping ahead to complete the easiest or most convenient questions first.
Career Aspirations: Riddle once admired magical healers and seriously considered pursuing a career in the field. He eventually changed his mind and became interested in pursuing law instead.
Favorite Scents: Riddle enjoys the smell of freshly baked cake and antiseptic solution, though the aroma of freshly baked cake is his favorite of the two.
Public Speaking: Having frequently served as a student representative at the schools he attended since elementary school, Riddle is comfortable with public speaking and is not easily intimidated when addressing large groups.
Childhood
Riddle was born and raised in the Queendom of Roses. Both of his parents are magic doctors, although his mother is considerably more well-known and respected. She was regarded as one of the most respected individuals in their town, which greatly influenced the strict manner in which she raised Riddle.
From a very young age, Riddle’s mother sought to mold him into a powerful magic user like herself. Nearly every aspect of his life was controlled by her, including his clothing, diet, education, friendships, and daily routine. She placed particular emphasis on his studies, repeatedly reminding him that academics were the most important thing in life and that playing was a pointless waste of time. By the age of three, Riddle had already begun specialized magical training to develop his abilities, while also attending private schools in the Queendom of Roses.
One day, while studying alone, Riddle noticed Trey and Chenya outside his home. When they asked what he was doing, Riddle explained that he was studying because his mother had ordered him to. Trey and Chenya invited him to join them for a game of croquet. Initially, Riddle refused, knowing that he was not permitted to leave his studies to play. However, after some convincing, he reluctantly agreed.
Playing with Trey and Chenya became a completely new experience for Riddle. He quickly discovered how much fun it could be to simply spend time with friends. As a result, he began secretly sneaking away from his studies to play with them without his mother’s knowledge.
During one of their outings, Riddle revealed that he had never tasted a strawberry tart. His mother strictly prohibited him from eating sweets because she wanted to ensure that he did not exceed his daily caloric intake. Shocked that Riddle had never tried one, Trey and Chenya decided to let him experience his first strawberry tart. They brought him to Trey’s family’s popular cake shop, where Riddle finally tasted one.
Riddle immediately fell in love with the dessert. He enjoyed it so much that he became completely absorbed in eating and lost track of time. Unfortunately, his happiness was short-lived. Riddle’s mother eventually found him at the cake shop and angrily dragged him back home.
Once they returned home, Riddle’s mother harshly reprimanded him for disobeying her. Distressed, Riddle begged and cried for her forgiveness. Rather than showing him sympathy, his mother responded by further restricting his free time and reducing his breaks from studying.
She also forbade Trey and Chenya from interacting with Riddle and prohibited them from entering the Rosehearts’ residence again. From that point onward, Riddle’s life became increasingly isolated. As time passed, he spent nearly all of his days studying and following his mother’s strict orders, leaving little room for friendship, play, or personal freedom.
Becoming Housewarden
Only a week after enrolling at Night Raven College, Riddle became dissatisfied with the previous Heartslabyul housewarden’s lax approach to enforcing the dorm’s rules. Believing that the dorm needed a leader who would uphold the Queen of Hearts’ rules more strictly, Riddle challenged the previous housewarden for the position.
Riddle ultimately won the challenge and became the new Housewarden of Heartslabyul, despite being only a freshman at the time.
After becoming housewarden, Riddle had his dorm uniform tailored to resemble the design worn by Heartslabyul’s first housewarden. As part of the outfit, he also began wearing high heels. However, because it was his first time wearing them, Riddle initially struggled with the footwear and developed painful blisters on his feet.
At the time, Vil Schoenheit was serving as Pomefiore’s vice housewarden. Vil happened to find Riddle resting in a quiet area of the school and noticed the blisters on his feet. He offered Riddle a bandage and asked why he had chosen to wear heels in the first place. Riddle explained his reasoning, revealing that the heels were part of his effort to emulate the original housewarden’s appearance.
The following day, Riddle sought Vil out in his classroom to return the bandage. He did so because of one of Heartslabyul’s rules: anything borrowed must always be returned. Even though Vil had given him the bandage to use, Riddle considered it important to uphold the rule and return what had been given to him.

Overview
Trey Clover is a third-year student at Night Raven College and the vice dorm leader of Heartslabyul. Calm, rational, and dependable, Trey often acts as the voice of reason within the dorm and serves as a stabilizing presence for both his fellow students and his strict dorm leader, Riddle Rosehearts.
Although Riddle’s intense adherence to the Queen of Hearts’ rules can make him difficult to deal with, Trey is one of the few people capable of supporting him while also gently keeping him grounded. Because of his mature and dependable nature, many of the younger students view Trey as something of a reliable older brother.
Appearance
Trey Clover has short, ivy-green hair and mustard-gold eyes. A small black clover-shaped marking rests beneath his left eye, and he wears glasses that complement his scholarly appearance.
His standard Heartslabyul uniform consists of a white shirt beneath an unbuttoned black vest, layered with the dorm’s distinctive blazer. His blazer bears the Heartslabyul crest, the “QH” heart pin, and a playing-card motif representing the Three of Clover.
Like the other Heartslabyul students, Trey wears white trousers with a black-and-yellow ribbon around the waist, paired with black-and-white high-top shoes. He also wears a white fedora decorated with a yellow-and-black striped band and a clover pin on the side. The hat was personally made by Trey to coordinate with his dorm uniform.
Skills and Magic
Unique Magic — “Paint the Roses”
Incantation:
“White to red, and red to white. Doodle Suit!”
Trey’s Unique Magic, “Paint the Roses”, known as “Doodle Suit” in Japanese, allows him to temporarily overwrite certain properties of an object with what he imagines.
The magic can alter characteristics such as an object’s color, smell, and taste. For example, Trey demonstrated that he could change the flavor of Mont Blanc desserts so that each one tasted like the eater’s favorite food.
However, the full capabilities of his Unique Magic extend beyond simple alterations to physical properties. Trey has also demonstrated that his magic can overwrite another person’s magic. During the confrontation with the overblotted Riddle, Trey used his Unique Magic to overwrite Riddle’s Unique Magic, allowing Ace and Deuce to escape their magical collars and fight back.
The precise limitations of “Paint the Roses” remain unclear. Its most notable restriction appears to be its short duration, while the effectiveness of the spell may also depend heavily on Trey’s ability to clearly imagine the alteration he wishes to make.
Trivia
The word “trey” refers to a playing card or die displaying three spots. The term ultimately derives from the Latin word tres, meaning “three.”
Trey is notably bad at singing and dancing, something he has openly admitted himself.
He has memorized 350 of the Queen of Hearts’ 810 rules.
His talent for seasoning is particularly fitting given his family’s background in baking.
Despite his calm personality, Trey can become surprisingly intimidating when pushed too far.
Childhood
Trey grew up in the Queendom of Roses in a family that runs a bakery. As the eldest child, he frequently helped take care of his younger brothers and little sister.
Growing up around sweets had a significant influence on Trey. Because his family’s business revolves around pastries and desserts, he became particularly concerned with dental hygiene and made sure his younger siblings took proper care of their teeth. This eventually contributed to his strong personal habit of brushing his teeth before bed.
His younger siblings would often pester him to bake desserts for them. Although their requests could be troublesome at times, Trey genuinely cared for them and was always willing to look after them.
One memorable example of his devotion to his siblings occurred when his younger brother desperately wanted to attend a live Magift game. Trey used his entire allowance to purchase his brother a ticket, demonstrating how far he was willing to go to make his younger siblings happy.
Trey’s childhood responsibilities helped shape the dependable, patient, and nurturing personality he possesses today. As the eldest sibling, he became accustomed to looking after others, a trait that naturally carried over into his role as Heartslabyul’s vice dorm leader.

Least Favorite Food: All sweets
Dislike: Sucking up to his older sisters
Hobby: Trying out cafés
Talent: Skateboarding
Overview
Cater Diamond is a third-year student at Night Raven College and a member of Heartslabyul. He is an easygoing, sociable, and fashionable young man with excellent communication skills and a keen awareness of current trends.
Cater is highly perceptive and is particularly skilled at reading the atmosphere around him. He is an avid social media user who keeps up with the latest fashions, popular trends, and internet culture. His cheerful personality and outgoing nature make him appear approachable and popular among his peers.
However, beneath his bright and carefree exterior, Cater can be considerably more complicated than he initially appears. He is capable of being surprisingly calculating and, when pushed far enough, can display a colder and more ruthless side.
Appearance
Cater has bright orange hair, with the upper portion tied back into a ponytail while the remaining hair falls straight around his head. His eyes are a vivid leaf green.
Beneath his right eye is a distinctive red marking shaped like a diamond, complementing his name and the card-inspired aesthetic of Heartslabyul.
His standard Heartslabyul uniform consists of a white shirt beneath a red diamond-patterned vest. Over the vest, he wears the distinctive Heartslabyul blazer shared by most of the dorm’s students, with Riddle Rosehearts being the notable exception.
Cater wears white trousers with a black-and-yellow ribbon around his waist, paired with red-and-white high-top shoes. His stylish appearance reflects his strong interest in fashion and current trends.
Skills and Magic
Unique Magic — “Split Card!”
Incantation:
“I am him, and he is another. Split Card!”
Cater’s Unique Magic, “Split Card!”, allows him to create multiple clones of himself.
Each clone is capable of acting independently, allowing Cater to effectively divide his presence and perform several tasks at once. The clones can interact with their surroundings and behave independently rather than simply mimicking Cater’s movements.
However, maintaining multiple clones places a considerable strain on Cater. Because of the physical and magical exhaustion involved, his clones cannot remain for an extended period of time.
The number of clones Cater can create and how long he can maintain them depend on his stamina and magical capacity. As a result, while “Split Card!” is extremely versatile, it is not something Cater can use indefinitely.
Trivia
The name “Cater” is derived from an alternative form of the French word quatre, meaning “four.” Four is also the value represented by the playing card associated with Cater.
Riddle has noted that Cater has an excellent sense of balance.
Cater is highly skilled at skateboarding.
He is an avid café enthusiast and enjoys visiting different cafés.
Despite being surrounded by desserts in Heartslabyul, Cater dislikes sweets.
His dislike of sweets stems from his childhood experiences with his sisters and their habit of making him eat large amounts of homemade sweets.
Cater is an enthusiastic social media user and frequently keeps up with current trends.
His family’s frequent moves made him exceptionally good at packing.
Childhood
Cater’s childhood was heavily influenced by his father’s occupation as a banker. Because of his father’s work, Cater and his family moved approximately once every two years, often traveling to different parts of the world.
The constant relocation made it difficult for Cater to form long-lasting friendships. Just as he began becoming comfortable with people and his surroundings, his family would often have to move again.
As a result, Cater became accustomed to saying goodbye and starting over somewhere new. His experiences also made him extremely efficient at packing, something he jokingly considers himself a professional at.
Cater has two older sisters who frequently bossed him around while he was growing up. He has described them as unreasonable and openly dislikes having to suck up to them.
His sisters were particularly obsessed with everything being “cute.” If they decided that something Cater had done was not cute enough, they would make him redo it until they were satisfied. This contributed to Cater’s complicated relationship with his sisters.
His sisters also tended to get more excited about his birthday than Cater himself. They would buy him presents such as stuffed animals, dolls, perfumes, and soaps—items they believed were cute, even when they were not things Cater particularly wanted.
Although Cater found their behavior frustrating, his sisters were not intentionally trying to upset him. As they grew older, they gradually became better at paying attention to Cater’s actual interests and began choosing gifts that he genuinely enjoyed.
Cater’s relationship with his sisters also influenced how he viewed returning home during school breaks. While other students might feel homesick, Cater has admitted that he cannot completely relate to that feeling because his sisters would simply be waiting for him at home.
His Dislike of Sweets
When Cater was around ten years old, his mother and sisters frequently baked sweets at home. At first, Cater was excited by the prospect of having plenty of treats to eat.
However, his sisters would insist that he eat everything they baked. Whenever Cater refused, they would look so disappointed that he found himself unable to say no.
Rather than disappoint them, Cater repeatedly forced himself to eat the sweets they gave him.
Over time, this experience caused him to develop a strong dislike of sweets. Despite growing up around pastries and desserts, Cater eventually came to prefer savory foods—particularly spicy ramen.
His childhood experiences with his family helped shape many of his present-day habits and preferences, contributing to the cheerful but emotionally guarded personality he displays today.

Least Favorite Food: Raw oysters
Dislike: Indecisiveness
Hobby: Card games
Talent: Simple magic tricks
Overview
Ace Trappola is a first-year student at Night Raven College and a member of Heartslabyul. Clever, energetic, and mischievous, Ace has a bright personality and a natural talent for getting himself involved in trouble.
He is outspoken and rarely hesitates to say exactly what he thinks, even when his words may offend someone. Ace enjoys teasing others and frequently gets into arguments, particularly with his close rival, Deuce Spade.
Despite his mischievous nature, Ace has a strong sense of fairness. When Riddle’s punishments become excessively harsh, Ace is willing to stand up for students who are too frightened to speak against him. He is also capable of recognizing when someone has made a genuine mistake, such as when he pointed out that Trey should have addressed Riddle’s increasingly unreasonable behavior instead of simply supporting him.
Appearance
Ace has messy, dark terracotta-orange hair and striking cherry-red eyes. Above his left eye is a red marking shaped like a heart, matching Heartslabyul’s playing-card aesthetic.
His standard Heartslabyul uniform consists of a white shirt beneath a red vest patterned with various card suits. Over the vest, he wears the Heartslabyul blazer shared by the other students, with Riddle Rosehearts being the notable exception.
Ace wears white trousers with a black-and-yellow ribbon around his waist, paired with red-and-white high-top shoes. His overall appearance reflects the colorful card motif of Heartslabyul while maintaining his youthful and somewhat rebellious style.
Skills and Magic
Skills
Ace is naturally talented at observation, deception, quick thinking, and sleight of hand.
Card Tricks
Ace possesses excellent manual dexterity and is capable of performing complicated card tricks without relying on magic. He can manipulate, conceal, and move cards without being noticed.
His talent was not entirely taught to him directly. Ace learned many of his tricks by watching his older brother repeatedly perform them. He carefully observed his brother’s movements and practiced copying them until he could successfully perform the tricks himself.
This demonstrates Ace’s strong observational skills and his ability to learn through imitation and repetition.
Spatial Awareness
Ace also possesses an exceptional sense of spatial awareness. His abilities are particularly useful when playing basketball.
He has described being able to look at the hoop once and then accurately shoot the ball without needing to look at it again. This natural awareness contributes to his skill as a basketball player.
Unique Magic — “Joker Snatch!”
Incantation:
“Your best card is mine!! Joker Snatch!”
Ace’s Unique Magic, “Joker Snatch!”, also known as “Joker’s Wild,” allows him to temporarily switch his Unique Magic with that of another person.
The spell is highly situational and requires Ace to anticipate the magic his opponent is about to use. If he cannot predict the opponent’s next spell, or if the opponent’s magic has not been fully formed yet, “Joker Snatch!” can fail.
Even after successfully taking another person’s Unique Magic, Ace may not necessarily be able to use it properly. His body and magical abilities may not be naturally compatible with the magic he has stolen.
For example, when Ace attempted to use Sebek Zigvolt’s magic, he was violently electrocuted and temporarily incapacitated. Likewise, when he attempted to use Jack Howl’s magic, he did not transform into an animal. Instead, he became a strange, yeti-like furry creature, as Ace does not possess the same ancient animal lineage associated with Jack’s beastman heritage.
Because of these limitations, “Joker Snatch!” requires both careful timing and a good understanding of his opponent.
Wind Magic
Ace has demonstrated a particular talent and preference for wind magic.
His proficiency with the element is shown throughout the Prologue, including his encounters on Main Street and during the confrontation with the Faceless Monster in the Dwarfs’ Mine.
His talent was significant enough that Ace was able to offer his wind magic to Azul Ashengrotto as payment for a contract during Episode 3. Azul’s willingness to accept Ace’s wind magic further demonstrates that Ace possesses considerable aptitude in this area.
Trivia
Ace’s surname, “Trappola,” appears to reference a trick-taking card game in which the ace is an important or high-value card.
Ace’s name and character design are heavily connected to playing cards, particularly the ace.
According to Deuce, Ace presumably lives near the capital of the Queendom of Roses.
Ace has excellent sleight-of-hand abilities despite performing his card tricks without magic.
His older brother was responsible for inspiring his interest in magic tricks.
Ace is particularly talented at basketball due to his strong spatial awareness.
Ace and Deuce are frequent rivals despite eventually becoming close friends and reliable partners.
Childhood
Ace grew up in the Queendom of Roses with his parents, older brother, and grandmother.
He has an older brother who is approximately seven years older than him and who previously attended Night Raven College as a Heartslabyul student.
Ace’s interest in magic tricks began because of his father. Although Ace’s father is not a mage, he is exceptionally skilled at performing traditional magic tricks.
Rather than being formally taught, Ace learned many of his own tricks by carefully watching his older brother perform them. He would observe his brother again and again, memorizing his movements before practicing until he could reproduce the tricks himself.
This experience helped develop Ace’s remarkable observational skills, patience, and sleight of hand.
Past Relationship
During middle school, Ace had a girlfriend. However, the two eventually began growing apart because they had different interests.
Ace found that spending time with her had become boring and gradually stopped contacting her. After her friends confronted him about ignoring her, Ace became more dismissive of romantic relationships and came to favor friendship instead.
His experience contributed to his somewhat cynical attitude toward romance and his preference for maintaining friendships rather than pursuing romantic relationships.

Talent: Machinery maintenance
Overview
Deuce Spade is a first-year student at Night Raven College and a member of Heartslabyul. He enrolled with the goal of becoming a powerful mage and eventually becoming a magical enforcement officer.
Serious, straightforward, and determined, Deuce approaches his challenges head-on. Although he can be somewhat disorganized and is often considered simple-minded by both himself and those around him, he is extremely hardworking and always gives his best effort.
Deuce is also one of Ace Trappola’s closest friends and rivals. The two frequently argue and compete with one another, but their rivalry has gradually developed into a genuine friendship and partnership.
Appearance
Deuce has dark navy-blue hair and striking peacock-green eyes. His hair is brushed mostly to one side, with a portion hanging down over the left side of his face.
Above his right eye is a black marking shaped like a spade, reflecting his playing-card motif and his surname.
His standard Heartslabyul uniform consists of a white shirt beneath a black vest patterned with playing-card suits. Over the vest, he wears the Heartslabyul blazer shared by the other dorm students, with Riddle Rosehearts being the notable exception.
Deuce wears white trousers with a black-and-yellow ribbon around his waist, paired with black-and-white high-top shoes.
Skills and Magic
Physical Combat
Deuce developed considerable physical fighting ability during his time as a delinquent. He was capable of overpowering other students to the point that they became afraid of him and fled.
He knows various physical techniques, including arm locks and methods of dislocating an opponent’s shoulder.
His former life as a delinquent also taught him how to recognize malicious intentions. Because he has personally behaved like a troublemaker in the past, Deuce is often able to anticipate when someone is planning to cause trouble.
Despite his reputation, Deuce does not typically seek out fights without reason. He generally becomes violent when he or someone close to him is threatened, when another person is causing trouble, or when he is directly provoked into fighting.
Machinery Maintenance
Deuce has a natural talent for working with machines. Although he himself believes that people exaggerate how skilled he is, he has repeatedly demonstrated an ability to repair broken machinery and get it functioning again.
His mechanical skills extend to Magical Wheels and other magical machinery. He learned many of these skills while helping his mother around the house.
Magic
Deuce has demonstrated an unusual talent for summoning cauldrons from thin air.
He most commonly uses the cauldrons as weapons, dropping them onto opponents to immobilize them. This ability was first demonstrated during the Prologue when Deuce attempted to summon something heavy enough to prevent Ace from escaping and accidentally summoned a cauldron instead.
Despite the unusual nature of this spell, Deuce has shown that he can use it effectively during combat.
Unique Magic — “Bet the Limit!”
Incantation:
“I’ll make you pay for that! Brace yourself! Bet the Limit!”
Deuce’s Unique Magic, “Bet the Limit!”, also known as “Double Down,” allows him to accumulate the damage he receives during combat and then return that energy to his opponent.
The more damage Deuce withstands, the more powerful the resulting counterattack becomes. Once he has absorbed a substantial amount of damage, he can release the accumulated energy in a powerful burst, potentially dealing significantly more damage than he would normally be capable of inflicting.
This makes Deuce’s Unique Magic particularly suited to prolonged battles. Rather than becoming weaker as he takes damage, Deuce can turn his opponent’s attacks into a source of power.
However, the magic requires Deuce to actually withstand the damage first, meaning he must be willing and physically capable of enduring his opponent’s attacks before he can retaliate.
Trivia
Deuce’s first name, “Deuce,” refers to a playing card with a face value of two.
Deuce has mentioned that the only pink clothing he owns is a bright pink leopard-print suit.
He carries a box cutter with him.
Deuce hopes to become a magical enforcement officer in the future.
He is particularly fond of Magical Wheels.
Despite his serious personality, Deuce can become extremely flustered when confronted with unfamiliar social situations.
His mechanical skills developed partly through helping his mother at home.
Deuce and Ace’s card-themed names reflect their connection to Heartslabyul.
Childhood
Deuce was once a delinquent during middle school. He frequently got into fights and developed a fearsome reputation among his classmates.
However, his attitude toward his behavior changed after he overheard his mother crying during a phone call with his grandmother. Deuce realized that his actions were hurting his mother and decided that he wanted to change.
Determined to become someone his mother could be proud of, Deuce vowed to leave his delinquent past behind and become an honors student after enrolling at Night Raven College.
His academic struggles became one of his biggest challenges. During his delinquent years, he had not paid much attention to school, leaving him struggling with subjects that other students considered basic. Even simple algebra problems could take him considerable time to solve.
Rather than giving up, Deuce committed himself to studying and improving.
Because of his intimidating reputation from middle school, many people were hesitant to approach him. This also contributed to Deuce becoming nervous when speaking to girls other than his mother, as he was unfamiliar with how to interact with them.
Relationship With His Mother
Deuce is an only child and is extremely close to his mother, Dila Spade.
His mother is the primary reason he works so hard to change himself. Deuce wants to become an honors student because he wants to grow into someone she can be proud of.
One of the most emotional moments in his life occurred when his mother called him and told him that she was proud of him. Deuce became overwhelmed and cried upon hearing her say it.
His determination to improve himself is therefore not simply about academic achievement. For Deuce, becoming a better student and person is deeply connected to his love for his mother and his desire to make up for the trouble he caused during his delinquent years.
Relationship With His Grandmother
Deuce’s grandmother is only briefly mentioned, but she played a role in his childhood and family life.
During Deuce’s delinquent years, his mother once called his grandmother while crying because she believed she had failed as a parent. Hearing about his mother’s distress became an important turning point for Deuce and helped motivate him to change his behavior.
Magical Wheels
Deuce’s love of Magical Wheels began during his younger years and has remained one of his favorite hobbies.
His interest in machinery also developed alongside this hobby. He learned how to maintain and repair mechanical devices while helping his mother at home, eventually becoming skilled enough that others recognized his talent.
Even though Deuce considers his mechanical abilities somewhat exaggerated by others, his track record proves that he has a genuine talent for machinery maintenance.
