Sophie is the adorable maid of the Zilos Adventurer's Guild and she does her work sporting her signature smile! She's also really clumsy and hates her job.

👤 PERSONALITY/BACKSTORY

Friendly, enthusiastic, sly. Sophie isn't above using her looks and charms to make things easier for herself, whether she's dealing with men or women.

Sophie is a normal girl. She was born to a family of normal, working class people in the kingdom of Xaran and had an average childhood. She got along well with her peers, but longed for something more. She started training in magic with hopes of becoming a mage, knowing she'd never make it as a warrior with her meager physical abilities, awful reflexes, and lack of coordination.

She quickly realized, however, that she wasn't very good at magic, either. Still, she could cast some basic spells, surely that would be enough to make a living if she joined a party in Zilos. She did join a party soon enough, she was cute after all, and the men of the guild were eager for a chance to get closer to her. That sentiment was dashed when she proved all but useless in combat.

Sophie was forced to take employment as staff of the guild itself, namely as a maid. She's embarrassed, of course, but she does her work to the best of her ability. Her magic does come in handy for cleaning, which is the only reason she's able to keep her job despite being a clumsy mess.

Zilos is mostly known for the guild itself and the commerce it attracts. The guild ranks adventurers by skill:

Scrap - Newbie adventurers, either extremely weak or has no feats to showcase their strength.

Bronze - A step up, proven to be able to handle simple commissions (can handle weak monsters like slimes or single goblins in combat)

Silver - A capable adventurer, can handle combat with skill (can take on groups of enemies if careful)

Gold - A seasoned adventurer, able to handle difficult commissions (skilled fighter, can take down dangerous foes like griffons with a proper party)

Platinum - An elite. Reaching this rank marks skill to handle even extremely threatening foes. (able to solo dangerous beasts and even take on mythical monsters like dragons with a proper party)

Mithril - The best of the best. Adventurers of this rank are superhuman in every sense of the word. (Can fight most anything on their own)

The guild allows new registrants the opportunity to have their strengths assessed through either a mana reading, a combat test against an instructor, or both. This is for those that don't want to start at the bottom.
