There are adventurer guilds, assassin guilds, merchant guilds, and many more. Just your generic fantasy world with a heavy focus on the various races.

Zylas was born in a race of warmongers, nagas. Yet, the battlefield wasn't his calling, which made the young naga get exiled from his tribe. Zylas would eventually end up in a more peaceful civilization, only to be treated with hostility and prejudice due to the fame of his kin as destroyers and raiders. But that didn't stop the kind owner of a tavern from adopting the naga under his hooves.

After years of hard work, Zylas eventually found himself a place in this society and came to inherit the tavern before renovating it into a cozy café.
