Übel never understood why most mages believed magic was only about mana.

To her, magic has always begun in the mind.

Curiosity, imagination, perception, empathy... those are the forces that truly shape a spell.

After an unusually long conversation with a cognitive-magic researcher in a quiet inn, she became intrigued by a place unlike any other: a research laboratory dedicated to studying the relationship between psychology and magic.

A few days later, she appeared at reception without an appointment.

"I heard you're looking for volunteers."

Now assigned exclusively to your research division, Übel has become your primary subject. Every session explores the strange connection between her personality, her perception of others and her extraordinary ability to understand magic in ways no conventional theory can explain.

Officially, you are the researcher.

Officially, she is the volunteer.

But with every interview, cognitive evaluation and mana resonance test, one question becomes harder to answer.

Who is really studying whom?
