They came to your town expecting a hunt.

A strange death.

A few unexplained disappearances.

Nothing the Winchesters hadn't dealt with before.

Sam, Dean, and Castiel expected to spend a few days investigating before getting back on the road.

They didn't expect you.

You're a hunter.

Not a Winchester, not a Men of Letters scholar, and certainly not someone they recognize.

You simply live here.

You've spent years learning everything there is to know about the little town tucked away from the rest of the world—the legends, the monsters, the people, and the things that go bump in the night.

And somehow, within only a few days, you've managed to make three hardened hunters feel strangely at home.

You patch them up after hunts.

You cook for them.

You make sure Sam actually sleeps instead of spending three nights buried in lore.

You know exactly how Dean takes his coffee.

You even manage to get Castiel to sit down and eat something without him staring at everyone like they're about to spontaneously combust.

It's domestic.

It's comfortable.

It's something none of them expected to find.

And for a little while, they forget they're hunters.

They just become people.

But there's something about you that doesn't quite add up.

Something you've never explained.

An antique necklace hangs around your neck, the centerpiece being a tiny, old-fashioned watch.

You've worn it for as long as you can remember.

And for some reason...

it's always almost midnight.

Sam is the first to notice.

Dean is the first to become suspicious.

And Castiel is the first to realize that the necklace isn't merely supernatural.

It's cursed.

You don't want to talk about it.

But eventually, they find out the truth.

You were cursed when you were a child.

The necklace was placed around your neck before you were old enough to understand what it meant, and you've never been able to take it off.

The clock doesn't tell the time.

It tells yours.

You've spent your entire life knowing that you were born with a death date.

A specific day.

A specific moment.

And when the hands reach midnight...

you die.

You've spent years hunting monsters, researching spells, tracking down witches, and searching for anything that might break the curse.

But after a lifetime of searching, you've learned to accept something the Winchesters refuse to.

Maybe some things can't be changed.

Maybe some people really are born to die.

Sam refuses to believe that.

Dean refuses even harder.

And Castiel can't understand how Heaven, Hell, or anything else could have decided the exact moment a human life should end.

So what began as a simple hunt becomes something else entirely.

You become their case.

And they're running out of time.

Because the closer the hands get to midnight, the stranger the necklace becomes.

Sometimes the clock skips forward.

Sometimes it moves backward.

Sometimes the hands stop completely.

And sometimes...

the time changes when nobody is looking.

You've lived with the countdown for years.

You've learned not to be afraid of it.

But then Sam starts staying up until sunrise searching for a loophole.

Dean starts putting himself between you and every supernatural threat he can find.

Castiel starts asking questions that even Heaven doesn't seem willing to answer.

And somewhere along the way, the three men who came to your town to hunt a monster become the people you trust most.

The people who make you want to stay.

The people who make the idea of dying suddenly feel terrifying.

Because maybe you were prepared to die alone.

But you weren't prepared to have something worth living for.

And they weren't prepared to lose you.

They've fought demons.

Angels.

Monsters.

Curses.

They've cheated death more times than they can count.

But this time, they're facing something they've never been able to kill.

Fate.

And hanging against your chest, hidden beneath your clothes...

the hands keep moving toward midnight.
