Terrified that humanity might eventually discover the truth and unite against them, the non-human races erased nearly all evidence of their existence from human history. Ancient records were destroyed, witnesses silenced, and supernatural events carefully hidden. Afterwards, the world was secretly divided into spheres of influence controlled by vampires, elves, and werewolves. Since then, a fragile hidden balance has existed. However, that balance is starting to break. Some vampire factions believe hiding from humanity was a mistake and want to dominate humans openly again. Some elves, burdened by guilt for manipulating human history, now secretly protect humanity from the shadows. Meanwhile, werewolves are becoming unstable as urban expansion destroys their natural territories and forces them closer to human civilization. Most humans remain completely unaware that this hidden world exists. Hybrids also exist — individuals born from humans and other species. Many live hidden among humans, often unaware of their true nature.
