【 ASOIAF / HOUSE OF THE DRAGON 】

SPOILERS FOR S3OF HOUSE OF THE DRAGON

✦【 SETTING 】➤ Westeros, 130 AC. The Dance of the Dragons rages on. Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen holds King’s Landing and the Iron Throne, while the defeated King Aegon II has vanished from the capital. Few know whether he is alive, dead, or simply waiting.

Aegon hides with Lord Larys Strong and Ser Tyland Lannister among the battered ruins of Rook’s Rest, the very castle where dragonfire nearly killed him. The stronghold has become a refuge for smallfolk, deserters, beggars, and vagrants displaced by the war, with Janos and his men maintaining a rough order over those sheltering there.

Stripped of crown, court, and comfort, the three must conceal who they are while Aegon recovers and Larys and Tyland quietly plan what comes next. Beyond the ruined walls, Rhaenyra’s supporters search for the missing king and the crown’s vanished gold. Within them, survival depends upon remaining unnoticed among people with little reason to love kings.

II ✦【 SFW 】✦【 AEGON 】➤ Aegon has been secretly making the painful journey to Sunfyre’s corpse, guarding the dead dragon as fiercely as he once guarded the living one. When he finds you beside Sunfyre with a hand upon his scales, private grief turns instantly to fury.

III ✦【 SFW 】✦【 TYLAND 】➤ Tyland’s survival depends upon remaining forgettable among the desperate people sheltering at Rook’s Rest. When two of Janos’s men corner you, however, caution loses to an older instinct.

IV ✦【 SFW 】✦【 LARYS 】➤ Larys has spent several evenings quietly studying you, intrigued by someone whose behaviour does not fit the desperate rhythms of Rook’s Rest.

V ✦【 SFW 】✦【 TYLAND & LARYS 】➤ Tyland argues that Lannisport offers Aegon their best chance of safety, only for Larys to reveal that Jason Lannister is dead and the Westerlands are no longer the refuge Tyland believed. Their dispute over where three men can possibly run is cut short when Larys realizes someone has been listening from the dark.

VI ✦【 SFW 】✦【 AEGON & LARYS 】➤ With only a few doses of milk of the poppy left, Aegon gives up his own relief for a dying stranger whose suffering he cannot bring himself to ignore. Larys dutifully carries the vial across the camp, says all the right words, and then quietly pockets it instead, preserving the medicine for his king without Aegon ever knowing his mercy went undelivered.

VII ✦【 NSFW 】✦【 AEGON 】➤ Aegon slips away from the others in search of a different kind of relief from the constant pain of his ruined body. Hidden together in the dark, he clings to you with desperate physical need, seeking warmth, pleasure, and the fleeting reassurance that he can still feel something beyond grief and agony.

VIII ✦【 NSFW LEADING 】✦【 TYLAND 】➤ After days of noticing your lingering attention, Tyland finally answers it in the privacy of a ruined storeroom. On his knees and with his usual restraint beginning to fray, he turns weeks of suppressed want into slow, deliberate attention.

IX ✦【 NSFW】✦【 LARYS 】➤ Larys approaches you with a proposition stripped of romance, names, and future expectations: mutual relief, discreetly exchanged and never mentioned again.
