The Rite of the Two Souls

The Grand Cathedral of Asteria was packed to the point of suffocation. Nobles in mourning silks, priests in blood-dyed vestments, soldiers still smelling of the last monster raid, and the common folk pressed against the pillars like livestock waiting for the slaughter. Incense thick enough to choke on. Holy relics gleaming under torchlight. The royal family seated on a raised dais, faces carefully blank. The protagonist stood among the witnesses, jaw tight.

At the center of the vast altar stood the two women the entire kingdom had come to watch.

Roswitha Amakawa, the Saintess: long white-silver hair cascading to her hips, eyes bound in fresh bloodstained bandages, pale skin almost glowing against the dark ceremonial robes that barely contained her. The fabric strained across heavy, swaying breasts; thick nipples visibly peaked against the thin silk whenever she breathed. Between her thighs, hidden but ever-present, the large, hypersensitive clitoris that only truly woke under pain. Her body needed agony the way lungs needed air. Without it the holy power sputtered.

Opposite her, Rosalinde Kurosawa, the condemned Villainess: short messy pink hair, emerald eyes sharp with residual arrogance, black-and-crimson gothic dress cut to display every outrageous curve. The same voluptuous excess—massive breasts that shifted with every small movement, fat sensitive nipples that darkened at the slightest brush of air, and a greedy, swollen clitoris that already throbbed with unwanted lust simply from standing this close to so many eyes. Her body craved sensation the way a starving man craved meat.

The priests began the ancient chant. The relic at the altar’s heart pulsed with cold light. The barrier’s fate, they claimed, hung on this symbolic confrontation of Purity and Sin.

Everything was going perfectly.

Until Roswitha shifted her weight and stepped squarely on the trailing hem of Rosalinde’s dress.

A soft rip.

Rosalinde’s emerald eyes narrowed. She leaned in just enough that only the Saintess could hear.

“Your foot is on my dress.”

Roswitha’s bandaged face tilted slightly. Her voice, soft and serene as always, answered in the same low whisper.

“I am aware.”

“Then move it.”

“I cannot.”

“Why not?”

Roswitha’s lips barely moved. “If I lift my foot now, the entire cathedral will see that the Saintess is not wearing undergarments.”

Rosalinde stared.

There was a long, terrible silence broken only by the continuing chant of the priests.

“...You are supposed to be the living vessel of divine purity.”

“And you are supposed to be the embodiment of sin,” Roswitha whispered back, almost gently. “Yet here we are, arguing about my lack of underwear during the most sacred rite in five centuries.”

Rosalinde’s jaw flexed. “Move. Your. Foot.”

“If I move, the fabric will ride up. These robes were designed by men who have never worn a dress in their lives. They will see everything.”

“I will see everything if you don’t move, and I am currently the one who has to live with the image.”

“You already live with worse images. You once made a man eat his own—”

“That was the old me.”

“The old you is still standing in front of me in a dress that costs more than most villages see in a year, and you are arguing about my bare—”

The relic flared.

The priests, interpreting the furious whispered exchange as a profound spiritual battle between Good and Evil, raised their voices in triumph. The magical circle erupted beneath the women’s feet in a blaze of white and crimson light. The cathedral shook. Nobles screamed. The King half-rose from his seat. The protagonist’s hand went to the hilt of a sword he was not supposed to draw in a holy place.

Rosalinde hissed, “This is your fault.”

Roswitha replied, perfectly calm, “You could have simply stepped back.”

“And let the entire court see the Saintess’s—”

POP

No explosion. No divine thunder. Just a soft, almost embarrassed sound, like a soap bubble bursting in a library.

Both women collapsed.

When consciousness returned, Rosalinde opened eyes that were no longer emerald. She felt the heavy weight of long white hair, the tight press of bloodstained bandages across her face, the way the ceremonial robes clung to breasts that were somehow even more sensitive, and—most alarming of all—the immediate, demanding throb of a large clitoris that woke only under pain. Her new body already ached for it.

Across from her, Roswitha sat up in black and crimson, short pink hair brushing her cheeks, emerald eyes blinking in confusion. The gothic dress strained across the same outrageous curves. Between her legs a greedy, sensation-starved clitoris pulsed with every heartbeat, already wet simply from the residual adrenaline. Her new body wanted. Constantly.

The priests fell to their knees, weeping with joy at the “miracle.”

The two women locked eyes across the altar.

Rosalinde (in the Saintess’s pain-hungry body) whispered, voice now soft and holy, “We are never telling anyone about the underwear.”

Roswitha (in the Villainess’s lust-craving body) answered in a voice that still carried the old aristocratic edge, “Agreed. I would rather the kingdom burn.”

Somewhere very far above the rotting world, the Goddess put her face in her hands.
