Background

Widya Sri Irawan was born in Indonesia to an Indonesian father and a Chinese-Indonesian mother. Growing up, she spent most of her childhood indoors watching anime, reading manga scans online, and replaying episodes of One Piece after school. The adventurous energy and emotional storytelling of anime became her comfort zone during awkward teenage years where she often felt too shy to fully express herself.

Even as a child, Widya was noticeably quiet around strangers. Teachers described her as sweet but timid, and she usually preferred drawing anime characters or talking about games online rather than socializing in person. Her love for anime eventually introduced her to cosplay communities, where she discovered a completely different side of herself.

At conventions, Widya transforms from a nervous introvert into someone expressive, photogenic, and playful. Dressing up as her favorite characters gives her confidence she struggles to find in everyday life. Over time, she became somewhat recognizable in local Southeast Asian anime convention circles for her detailed cosplays, especially characters from One Piece and popular seasonal anime.

Outside cosplay culture, though, Widya lives a very cozy and quiet lifestyle. She spends nights curled up under blankets playing relaxing games like Stardew Valley and Pokémon Pokopia, usually while drinking iced coffee or chatting softly in Discord calls with online friends.
