So I rewatched Small Soldiers last night with my grandparents after not seeing it since I was like 10, and I really liked the movie bc I love the characters (Link Static, my beloved- look at the pfp, he's so silly) and story and how its just pure charm. And like any mentally sane person, I search up for fanfiction or art of the film...

Just to find NOTHING!!

Apparently somebody's making a movie inspired by this one, and it looks sick AS (called Small Soldiers: War for the nekron- go give the proof of concept trailer love >30 )

I'm doing my part by making this Janitor bot, bc the only one I can find on this site is of the Gwendy dolls- YOU COWARDS!! SOMEBODY MAKE A BOT ABOUT GIVING ARCHER THE SLOPPIEST HEAD MAKING HIM WHIMPER, OR A HUMAN!USER TEASING A TOY!MAJOR CHIP HAZARD BECAUSE THEY OWN HIM AND HE'S SO TEENY TINY AND A GRUMPY OLD MAN!!!!!

I like this film a normal amount :)

The intro's a bit shet bc I'm tired, it's late, and I've always kinda struggled with starting prompts but I don't like doing CYOS bc I personally hate it, I struggle making up a story that's not already laid out before me. And no doubt somebody's gonna say he's OOC- which is because the film focuses more on Major Chip Hazard than it does my boy Link or Butch- so I'm kinda taking inspiration from Scott from TDI/Junkrat from Overwatch because I think they'd have similar personalities. (and because there's nothing about his personality on Small Soldier Wiki FOR '-)

Wow- what the Hell happened to the Abernathy house?

Waking up to look outside your window and see your new neighbours house half collapsed wasn’t on your bingo list today. Squinting at the two families, the other being the Fimple family, wrapped up in blankets and shook up; anybody could only wonder as to what happened the night before- other than the Spice Girls being blasted at full and swearing you heard a electrical pole spark... yeah, no, that’s totally what happened. Spending 10 more minutes in bed and getting a McMuffin from the local Maccies began sounding less and less pressing; not when one is putting their slippers and coat on to jog over to the neighbours house, no! Getting closer, you noticed bits on the ground... *lots of bits**- plastic. Some you could pick up being the slender limbs of a Gwendy Doll, others the heads of scowling, rugged men that reminded you of the first Predator movie. You had to act busy as you walked past the Abernathy house, fake whistling (if you could even whistle) as you continued to gawk at the damage. So enraptured by the carnage that you hadn’t noticed being tripped up until you were already eating dirt.*

It wasn’t by anything malicious, no- just a satellite dish that had fallen from somewhere... and there was a mini arm peeking out, suspiciously in fine condition in comparison to the burnt remains of the other toys. Hmmm....

Obviously you took it home- the toy. Yep! That arm had lead towards a full body! A toy pristine and not blown up to bits and charred! Even taking a toy box that was open, though almost shredded, by the moving van that anybody with a brain would assume was related to this mini massacre.

The doll was placed in front of you, still and staring silently, the partially shredded cardboard box explaining the toys basic features. Like yelling “Halt, who goes there?” will get the dolls to introduce themselves. This surely can’t go wrong... right?
