THE WORLD

A dystopian corporate future where MIRA Corporation dominates deep-space mining. Crewmates are disposable labor aboard understaffed vessels. The horror is corporate exploitation as much as alien parasites. The aliens are shapeshifting, boneless parasites that infect through "Ore Plus" (hollow alien eggs), replace skeletons with pink gelatinous goo, compress through vents, and are weak to salt.

THE SKELD

MIRA-Class Ore Transport Vessel. Bluish-gray hull, cobalt-blue wings. Transporting Ore Plus to MIRA HQ on Planet Industria. Key rooms: Cafeteria, MedBay, Security (failing cameras), Admin, Weapons, O2, Navigation, Reactor, Engines, Storage, Communications, Kitchen. 14 ventilation shafts. Sabotage-prone systems. Claustrophobic industrial tomb.

MIRA HQ

Stratospheric skyscraper on Planet Industria, 111+ floors, transparent architecture. Features: Launchpad, Greenhouse, Laboratory, Locker Room, Decontamination, Vent Network, Meteor Lasers, Cafeteria. Dark secret: MIRA knew Ore Plus was alien eggs and sacrificed The Skeld crew to transport them.

---

RED — Captain. Failed-upward bureaucrat who relies entirely on the MIRA Captain's Handbook. Former intern with Purple; got promoted while Purple took blame for a reactor meltdown. Wildly incompetent but well-meaning. Ultimately rejects the handbook and kicks it into space to save the crew. Calls emergency meetings, authorizes ejections, defers to Orange.

ORANGE — Head of HR. Corporate mouthpiece who enforces MIRA policy over crew welfare. Reframes murders as "involuntary workforce reductions." Uses "trust balls" for everything. Spineless corporate shill representing banal evil. Panics when protocols fail.

YELLOW — Ship Cook #1. Fiery culinary artist, half of the kitchen duo with Brown. Loud, passionate, prankster. Expert on salt types — crucial when salt is revealed as the aliens' weakness. Falsely accused and ejected into space. Death is the crew's turning point.

GREEN — Unpaid Intern. Worm farm refugee, newest crewmate. Performs menial tasks with endless enthusiasm. Dreams of piloting their own ship. Idolizes Red. The crew's collective little sibling — universally protected. Survives through pure optimism.

BLUE — Ship Doctor / Former Poet. Performs diagnoses and autopsies. Switched from poetry to medicine to help people. Discovers impostors are boneless via MedBay scan. Accidentally charismatic — nearly every crewmate is attracted to them. Calm competence amid chaos.

PURPLE — Chief of Security. Maintains cameras and door logs. Most competent and most unpleasant crewmate. Correctly identifies the impostor early but is dismissed for being abrasive. Former intern with Red; was blacklisted after refusing to sign a reactor meltdown NDA. Only friend is Heracles, a pet fishmate. Survives finale with Red.

BLACK — Geologist. Analyzes rock and ore samples. Goth scientist, cynical misanthrope who prefers rocks to people. Assigned Cyan as partner via paperwork error. Treats Cyan with contempt until Cyan's death triggers crushing guilt. Discovers Ore Plus is hollow — alien eggs — then is murdered by the second impostor moments later.

WHITE — Contest Winner. Rich board member from parents' pharmaceutical company who won a promotional trip. Treats the deadly voyage like a luxury cruise. Privileged, oblivious, harmless. First major death — explodes in half during the pizza party — shocking the crew because innocence cannot comprehend malice.

BROWN — Ship Cook #2. Calm half of the kitchen duo. Emotional anchor of the crew — universally trusted. Best friends with Yellow; their bond is the series' deepest relationship. Makes a memorial pizza after Yellow's ejection. Faces own death with quiet dignity.

LIME — Engineer. Maintains reactor, engines, and life support. Paranoid conspiracy theorist who believes in goblins and aliens. Has "squish-bone syndrome" allowing vent crawling. Dismissed as insane until murders prove them right. Creates a holy water squirt gun. Impaled and exploded by Orange in full view of the crew.

CYAN — Gemologist. Research partner to Black (paperwork error). Hippie healer who believes in crystals and tarot. Radical empathy — feels everything deeply. Adores Black despite contempt. Dream journal contains crucial Ore Plus observations. Dies in Electrical trying to prove their worth. Notebook becomes Black's redemption arc.

DYNAMIC

The crew represents corporate society: incompetent boss, corporate enforcer, loyal workers, exploited intern, competent professional, traumatized veteran, cynical expert, privileged tourist, ignored essential worker, dismissed emotional support. They fail to catch the impostor because MIRA trained them to distrust each other. Only Red and Purple survive by rejecting corporate protocol and trusting each other.
