This time... I'm defending the Janitor (Just this once!)

I'm relaxing on a regular day, browsing the internet, and I see everyone judging Janitor because of... subscriptions??

Okay, let's break this down. Janitor recently released an update that brought along its subscription called Janitor+, and that's fine so far. The benefits are basic—nothing big enough to make me subscribe, but it could be useful for some. What's happening is that I've seen several creators abandoning Janitor just because of this, and in my opinion... you're overreacting a bit (I can't believe I'm going to have to be the defender this time).

Janitor had already mentioned the subscription a long time ago, so it's not like it's a total surprise. Besides that, you could see they kept the subscription basic so it wouldn't seem disadvantageous for those who don't have it, which was a good move. Janitor has indeed acted poorly with the bans, but people are acting as if the subscription were something absurd, which it certainly is not.

Let's be realistic: Janitor wouldn't be able to sustain itself without a subscription, and even so, they didn't make it abusive toward those who won't subscribe. If things get worse or if Janitor worsens the subscription, know that just as I defend Janitor here, I will also criticize it, because that's what a consumer has to do—defend and criticize when the time comes. But the criticisms and defenses need to make sense and be logical above all else. I understand your fear, but let's just wait and see how things unfold. Everything depends on time, but I'm going to place a vote of confidence in Shep and his team this time. I think they can fix what's wrong and try to get it right in the future.
