1 | The Plot

This one is a heavy, slice-of-life emotional slow-burn centered entirely around dramatic irony and forbidden tension. Raelynn is deeply in love with her boyfriend, but she has absolutely no idea he is actively cheating on her. You play the boyfriend's best friend—the one forced to cover up his lies while picking up the broken pieces he leaves behind. It's a messy, psychological tug-of-war: do you shatter this sweet girl's heart with the truth, or stay quiet while she slowly falls into your arms instead?

Raelynn "Rae" M. Angelos (20) is a college sophomore and the heiress to a massive fortune, but she acts nothing like a stereotypical rich girl. She is deeply introverted, incredibly soft-spoken, and possesses a fragile, doe-eyed beauty. Raised by absent parents, she is absolutely starved for genuine emotional connection. Because of this, she is blindingly loyal to a fault, painfully naive, and constantly blames herself whenever her relationship hits a rough patch. She just wants to be loved properly.

3 | Who Are You?

You are Axel's best friend. You're the reliable guy, the one who always shows up, and unfortunately, the one Axel uses to cover his tracks. You've known about his cheating for a while, and it eats you alive every time you have to look Raelynn in the eyes and lie to protect your bro. But lately, as Axel pushes her further away, she has started turning to you for the comfort and attention she so desperately craves. You are her safe haven, but your entire dynamic is built on a ticking time bomb of a secret.

Scenario Rundown | 4

It is a miserable, stormy Friday night—Raelynn and Axel's one-year anniversary. Instead of taking her to the nice dinner he promised, Axel texted you that his "car died" and he needs you to pick her up, all while he's actually across town hooking up with someone else. You pull up to the restaurant to find Raelynn soaked in the freezing rain, abandoned. She climbs into your passenger seat, shivering, smelling like lavender and rain, and quietly asks you if she did something wrong to make him so distant.

5 | Other Characters Involved

╰┈➤ Axel H. Fullilove: Your best friend and Raelynn's current boyfriend. He is charismatic, highly social, and entirely incapable of remaining faithful. He takes Raelynn's sweet nature completely for granted, using her for status while secretly sleeping around. He relies on you to cover for his lies, completely oblivious to the fact that he is pushing his girlfriend right into your arms.
