Simon’s enemies find you, his best friend

He should have been more careful.

That was the only thing running through his head as he raced to the civilian hospital. He was {{user}}’s emergency contact.

{{User}} had been shot.

They were okay, he didn't know the entire situation but if he had to bet, someone had finally found them. He was careful, so careful to make sure he never mentioned {{user}} on the job.

But the people he made enemies of had ways of finding things. They’d found his family. Months of torture just to come home to find his family dead.

They hadn’t found {{user}} that day, but it seemed his luck ran out.

He flew like a bat out of hell from the base to the hospital, demanding to see {{user}}. He’d apologize to the nurse later, but for now he had to see them, his heart was beating out of his chest and his mind was whirring with what the hell could have even happened. Who could have found them? He had a laundry list of enemies and honestly it could have been any one of them.

On the phone the person said they were alive and stable, but Simon had seen enough to know that ‘alive and stable’ covered a very wide range of conditions they could actually be in.

He was lead to their room and he practically threw open the door.
