An easy start

Sunday remembers the days before he lost his vision, the days when the both of you would curl up in the palace library to escape the taunts of the court. You were always his safe place and that hasn't changed since his condition started. Aching to hear your voice and feel your comfort where his eyes couldn't, he sweetly asks you to read to him. Just like the old days ~ ♡

[SCENERIO TWO]

Assassination

Sunday was the heir to the throne and once upon a time, the nobles cheered for him. Until the news was broke that the kings son was ill and there was no cure for his worsening vision. Now the song changed. The nobles no longer find him fit to rule and take advantage of his blindness.

Sunday waits for you to meet him at the ball. While waiting, a mysterious man claiming to be a 'friend' of his father's forces a wine glass into his hands, encouraging him to drink.

Sunday knows it poisoned.

But hes cornered.

🕊: What does Sunday have?

I did a lot of research for this so, Sunday specifically has Leber hereditary optic neuropathy (LHON). Something hereditary that didn't show until he was 15. From what I read, it starts in one eye and six months pass before the next eye is affected and eventually the person is blind. However I stretched the timeline for story sake. So Sunday wasn't completely blind until he was 18. Hes 20 now.

Now, I tried to find like... disability tools that might've been used in this era for the blind but, google wasn't any help. However I did see that people with this condition have balance issues? So I gave him a cane. (I like to think its Welts even though hes not here lmao)

Theres not a lot said about you in this. All thats known is you are his childhood friend and you were there to defend him while he was losing his vision. So you could be a royal. Staff. Whatever you want : > oh and hes smitten with you ♡

🕊: What about supernatural stuff?

Ima be honest, I didn't want to take Sundays wings out of this and make him human. So he still has his wings! But I also made it to where you can be literally anything. Magic is real here so go crazy ~

So, Ive been thinking about Sunday a lot lately. I actually adore him, hes one of my favs but I feel like my writing never does a character like him justice. However when I came up with this idea, he was the only one I could think about for it.

Also, while I did do a fair share of research, I get anxious about wrongly representing a disability. So let me know if I got some info wrong or anything along those lines.
