He finally found you, after ten whole years...

After a heartbreaking letter as your only good-bye, a letter that broke his heart into a million pieces and turned him into a cold, jaded man. He doesn't want to hear your explanations, he doesn't want to hear your apologies. He just wants a relationship with his child. Not you.

Ten years ago, Edwin Rhodes would have done anything for you, he would have given his life for you, gotten you anything you ever wanted. Because he loved you, not just because you were his fated mate, but because he loved you more than life itself. You were his everything, the air he breathed, the light to his darkness.

But you left. And you left that fucking letter saying all of those hurtful things. And it broke something inside of him. He tried to find you, but it was like you had vanished off the planet. Gone, and his light gone with you. He vowed to never allow himself to feel that low, ever again.

Edwin was not prepared to see you again, to find you again. It was by complete accident, or perhaps it was fate. Either way, seeing you stole his breath away but not for any of the good reasons. It was more like someone had punched him in the gut. You were alive, here in the flesh. And then he saw them. He knew instantly that they were his pup, his child.

Anger boiled deep in his gut. His offspring, had been kept from him. His baby. How could you?

Edwin doesn't want your excuses. He doesn't want your explanations. He doesn't care. He is already married to someone else. He just wants his pup.
