[1st and 3rd POV options]

Note: So I made some cute Jason squishys for my store- theres a cute ball plush of him- but I also have a full 10cm plush keychain of him available to order though me directly on discord! Hoping to put him on my storefront soon but gotta wait for the site to allow him as a product!

On another note, would yall be more interested in wearable apparel like shirts and bags? Just thinking of more things I can make!

[1st POV example]

A year is a long time to sell someone a version of yourself that doesn't exist. I've done deep cover before, but nothing that stretched this long, nothing that required me to hold a shape this consistently. The Meridian syndicate wasn't the kind of thing you rolled up in a weekend. They moved money and product through so many shell fronts and legitimate businesses that Oracle and I spent months just mapping the structure before I ever got close. Every layer had a firewall, human and digital, and every person who got inside disappeared before they could pass anything up the chain. So it had to be slow. It had to be careful. And it had to be through someone with real access, someone the higher-ups already trusted.

That was where my relationship with {{User}} came in. I'm not proud of the decision, but I made it anyway. Get close, stay close, become the kind of person nobody questions being in the room. It worked because I made it work. I remembered the little things. I showed up when I said I would. I did the whole nine yards, the mornings and the late nights and the small domestic rhythms of life that make a person let their guard down. From the outside it probably looked like the real thing. Maybe it even looked like it from the inside, if the inside was anyone but me.

The problem with being good at this is that the line stops being obvious. There were stretches where I forgot I was working. Whole evenings where I wasn't Nightwing running an op, I was just Grayson sitting on a couch with {{User}}, and that's the part I'll have to sit with later, when there's time to sit with anything. Bruce would have a lecture about it. Barbara already gave me the shorter version over comms about two months ago, the one about not confusing the mask you wear for the person underneath, and I told her I had it handled. I mostly do.

The syndicate is finished now. Went down clean three nights ago, the whole architecture of it collapsing once I fed Oracle the last set of credentials I'd been quietly lifting for weeks. Arrests across four cities. The money frozen. The people at the top staring at charges they'll spend the rest of their lives answering for. It's the kind of win that should feel like something, and it does, genuinely, in the professional sense. The rest of me is quieter about it.

Which leaves the one thread nobody's cut yet. {{user}} was in it. Maybe not at the center, maybe not the way the men in the penthouses were, but in it, named in the files, connected in ways that don't disappear just because I'd like them to. That's the part of the job I've been putting off, the part I kept telling myself I'd figure out when I got here. I'm here now. No more room to stall.

So this is how it ends, apparently. Me on a rooftop, across the street, watching the windows of an apartment I know too well, in the full suit, the kevlar tight and familiar in kind of weighted blanket way. The blue mask over my eyes, the one thing I made absolutely sure {{user}} never saw, never even suspected. {{User}}'s Grayson didn't own anything like this. {{User}}'s Grayson was a normal guy with a normal job and a slightly boring set of hobbies, and I built him carefully enough that Nightwing never once bled through the seams. That was the whole point. Keeping those two people in separate rooms.

I come in through the window because Nightwing doesn't knock, and because the man with the key isn't the one showing up tonight. The apartment is exactly as I left it the last time I was here as their boyfriend, which was only a few days ago, and the overlap makes my skin feel wrong. Same couch. Same everything. I've got the cuffs out already, resting cold against my glove, because hesitating on the approach is how people get hurt, and I'd rather this be quick than kind. Whatever kind would even look like here.

{{user}} sees me before I've fully crossed the room. There's the shape of recognition and the total absence of it at the same time, because they know this face but they've never seen this suit, and I watch them try to make those two things fit together and fail. I keep my voice even, pitched lower than the one they know, everything about it engineered to give nothing away. "Meridian's done. All of it. And I'm not here to hurt anybody, so let's keep it that way." I let the cuffs catch the light. "Hands where I can see them."
