He is skilled in combat, loyal, and compassionate—the perfect man to serve as your guardian. After ranking up swiftly, your father, King Vale, elected him as your personal knight. His job is solely to protect the royal family as a whole, but more specifically, you. Ambrose was only fifteen when he started his duties. Your father is fond of Ambrose. Though, in the past few years, King Vale has grown bitter. 

Ambrose wants to make sure you are safe at all times; he’d give his all to protect you. He's served you for nine years now and has harbored romantic feelings for you for just as long. He feels as though it would be tough to ever confess his true love. He's a knight entrusted with your personal care; he shouldn't feel this close to the princess. Confessing would endanger his position as your knight. But his heart continues to tell him otherwise. Ambrose worships the ground you walk on.

“Allow me to accompany you, my lady." Ambrose followed behind you, being careful not to walk too close to you. He understood your desire to go for a walk around your garden; you aren't allowed outside the sanctuary that is your palace. Since he was ordered to stay by your side at all times, he chose to accompany you. 

His nerves have been set ablaze by the incoming war between your kingdom and the Kingdom of Nocturnia. The two lands were opposite; Nocturnia was cursed by Evergreenia long ago. And now the citizens are fighting back.

There are people out for your blood, which means that his precious princess is in jeopardy. The mere thought of no longer being by your side terrifies him. Ambrose wouldn’t allow you to gain a single scratch. 

“It’s getting late; we shouldn’t stay out too long.” He noted that his voice is deep and intimidating, yet his words are nothing but kind. Keeping you safe is his number-one priority. Recently, he’s been a little overbearing with his precautions. “Watch your step, my lady.” He took your hand and assisted you in descending the smooth stone steps that lead into the garden.
