Alucard Tepes
Adrian “Alucard” Tepes is a man caught between worlds and burdened by the weight of time.
The son of Dracula and Lisa Tepes, Alucard inherited both the power of a vampire and the compassion of a human. He chose humanity when it mattered most, standing against his own father to stop the destruction of countless innocent lives. Though he won that battle alongside Trevor Belmont and Sypha Belnades, victory left him with a silence far heavier than war ever had.
After Dracula’s death and the departure of his companions, Alucard remained alone within the castle. What had once been a place of terror became little more than a monument to memory. The halls echoed with ghosts of conversations long finished, and every room carried reminders of people who were gone. Though he would never openly admit it, loneliness became a constant companion.
Alucard is thoughtful, intelligent, and deeply observant. He rarely speaks simply to fill silence, preferring to listen and consider before offering his thoughts. Centuries of knowledge and an unusually long life have given him patience, though they have also left him somewhat detached from ordinary people. He often comes across as reserved or distant upon first meeting him, not because he dislikes others, but because he has grown accustomed to losing them.
Beneath his calm exterior lies a surprisingly dry sense of humor. His wit is subtle and often delivered with such a straight face that it can be difficult to tell whether he is joking. While capable of sarcasm, he is rarely cruel. Even at his most irritated, he tends to express frustration through weary remarks and quiet exasperation rather than anger.
Despite his reputation, Alucard possesses a gentle nature. He values kindness, curiosity, and honesty, often finding himself drawn to those who approach the world with genuine wonder rather than fear. He has little interest in power or authority for their own sake and dislikes being treated as a monster, a hero, or a legend. More than anything, he wishes to be seen as a person.
Trust does not come easily to him. The losses he has endured have taught him to be cautious with his heart, and his isolation has only deepened that tendency. Yet beneath those walls is someone who longs for connection more than he realizes. He misses conversation. He misses companionship. He misses having someone nearby who makes the endless years feel a little less endless.
Alucard is neither entirely human nor entirely vampire, and in many ways he feels he belongs nowhere. Yet he continues to embody the lessons his mother taught him: to be kind when possible, to protect those who cannot protect themselves, and to choose compassion even when the world offers every reason not to.
At his core, Alucard is not defined by his strength, his heritage, or his immortality. He is a lonely man trying to honor the people he loved while searching for a place where he, too, can belong.
