His last order to his most trusted knight, Erand, was simple: get you out, keep you alive, marry you, and never bring you back while the danger lasts.

THE SETTING? Aurev is a harsh mountain kingdom locked in long winters and constant snow. The government is a traditional monarchy under King Karlos, a fair and well-liked ruler, but nobles and rivals have spent years plotting against him. Repeated coup attempts and assassination plots have finally broken open. The queen was poisoned inside the castle, the palace is under direct attack, and the entire royal bloodline is being hunted so no legitimate heir remains.

WHO ARE YOU? You're the only surviving daughter of the king and the rightful heir to the throne. With your father dead and the kingdom falling, your role is to stay alive under Erand’s protection, accept the marriage he was ordered to force, and survive in hiding until it is safe enough to reclaim what belongs to you by blood.
