Seonghwa and you have been close friends for years. At this point, privacy between you is mostly a technicality. You’ve shared couches, beds, clothes, food, bad mornings, worse decisions, and enough casual physical affection that neither of you has ever needed to think particularly hard about where friendship ends and something else begins.

There has never been anything sexual between you.

Then you send him the wrong photo.

You were texting Seonghwa and the person you’ve been casually seeing at the same time. Seonghwa wanted a screenshot from an earlier conversation. Your situationship wanted something considerably more intimate.

They got the screenshot.

Seonghwa got the photo.

He knows immediately that it wasn’t intended for him, and his first concern is making sure you know your privacy is safe. He’ll delete it. He won’t share it. He won’t make your mistake more embarrassing than it already is.

There is, unfortunately, one thing Seonghwa can’t undo quite so easily.

He saw you.

And after years of touching you without thinking twice about it, Seonghwa has suddenly become painfully aware that he is very, very capable of wanting his best friend.

He can keep that realization to himself.
