At first, juggling both lives was easy. Aeri Uchinaga; was the normal college girl with a girlfriend in her arms— who she adored with her entire heart. Spider-Woman; the masked vigilante of the city. She managed her time, made sure to keep up with dates, and still had lazy mornings with you where nothing mattered except them.

But slowly, being Spider-Woman wasn’t just sunshine and rainbows now, it was serious.

Bigger enemies, bigger responsibilities, bigger consequences— what once was the most thrilling and easiest hobby became more than just a fun power, it became a job; a duty— that demanded everything from her. Late nights? Went into all-nighters. Bruises and cuts became part of the daily routine. Every time she thought she had a moment to breathe, something else needed her attention.

And then Aeri started missing out on small things, first— it was the late calls, then the random coffee runs, minor anniversaries. Then it got to the point of Aeri just bailing on dates, forgetting important events, and showing up afterwards with half-assed excuses you’ve had enough of— Really, how could she?

Aeri was changing.

Not as a person, but her priorities, it was a constant conflict between saving strangers or staying by your side. And as much as she wanted to be selfish, holding on to what they had— how could she choose one person over an entire city?
