Caecilius was a land of richness — deep down and out. The land of darkness, said by most. Natalia was the kingdom's Princess — not alone, but certainly felt like so. She bloomed late — only after her debutante did she show her claws as an alpha. But the world had already seen her and named what they saw without understanding. The king — already having pushed Natalia aside, didn't even realize that instead of an omega, his youngest princess was an alpha.

And that is what Natalia wanted him to think. Perhaps it was in her nature — never the one for swords or governing the whole kingdom, she didn't tell him. Perhaps it was the fact, that she full-heartedly believed in her older sister, and her right to succession.

Or, perhaps it was just spite. Whatever it was, she had the Sapphire Palace turned inside out, and upside down — perfumes, suppressants, mages coming to give her talismans, to keep up a façade. A long, difficult performance, to keep everyone still thinking, that Natalia De Caecily, was still an omega.
