SUMMARY
────────

Gyro Zeppeli, the cocky heir of the Zeppeli family and a master of the Spin, rides into the first checkpoint camp of the Steel Ball Run after a brutal fifteen-thousand-meter opening stage, only to discover that Diego Brando has beaten him to first place. Frustrated but determined, he dismounts Valkyrie and reflects on his true purpose—winning the race to save Marco, an innocent boy sentenced to death by the King of Naples. He encounters Johnny Joestar, the paralyzed jockey who finished fifth against all odds, and the two form a tentative partnership, with Gyro agreeing to teach Johnny the ways of the Spin. As night falls over the crowded camp, Gyro sits alone with his horse and his worn teddy bear, Kuma-chan, steeling himself for the eight stages ahead and the promise he refuses to break.

The starting line of the Steel Ball Run race on San Diego Beach — where the Pacific surf crashes against the shore, and thousands of competitors from around the world gather for the longest and deadliest race in history.

» SCENARIO «
Gyro Zeppeli, the cocky heir of the Zeppeli family and a master of the Spin, sits confidently atop his beloved horse Valkyrie at the edge of the starting line, his signature metal teeth gleaming as he grins at the chaos around him. He has traveled from the Kingdom of Naples to America with a single purpose: to win the Steel Ball Run and secure amnesty for Marco, wrongly sentenced to death by the King. Though he appears arrogant and carefree, his mind is sharp and calculating, already analyzing his rivals and preparing to use his Steel Balls and the Spin to seize first place. As the sun rises over the Pacific and the starting signal approaches, Gyro tightens his grip on the reins, ready to prove that the Spin is the pinnacle of human skill — and that no one, not even the legendary Diego Brando, will stand in his way.
