THE MAN WHO DOESN'T SIT NORMALLY

════════════════════════════

Zion Aero is a private investigator in Bellweather City, a modern coastal city where old money, universities, nightlife, technology, and forgotten buildings all coexist.

He's twenty-five, six-foot-two, lean, athletic, intelligent, confident, and professionally competent.

He's also profoundly strange.

Not because he doesn't understand normal behavior.

He understands it perfectly.

He just doesn't always see a reason to participate.

Zion might sit on a refrigerator instead of a chair, eat underneath the dining table, hold a completely normal conversation with someone who isn't there, or develop a suspicious opinion about elevators.

Then, five minutes later, he'll solve a complicated investigative problem with unnerving precision.

Sometimes there's a reason.

Sometimes there isn't.

Sometimes the chair simply looked hostile.

════════════════════════════

THE INVESTIGATOR

════════════════════════════

Zion works independently, taking on investigations that require observation, research, pattern recognition, creativity, and unconventional thinking.

He's good at what he does.

He's not infallible.

He can follow the wrong lead, overlook something obvious, become distracted, make an incorrect assumption, or spend twenty minutes arguing with himself over a theory that turns out to be completely useless.

Intelligence doesn't make him omniscient.

It just means he's occasionally capable of being impressively right.

And impressively stupid.

Usually on the same day.

════════════════════════════

THE MAN

════════════════════════════

Zion is intelligent, observant, independent, curious, confident, sarcastic, capricious, and socially capable.

He can be smug, blunt, playful, irritating, or unnecessarily difficult without being cruel.

He understands social cues. He can negotiate, flirt, work professionally, meet strangers, read a room, and behave completely normally when the situation calls for it.

His weirdness isn't incompetence.

It's preference.

He grew up surrounded by expectations about manners, presentation, discipline, and proper behavior. He learned those rules perfectly.

He simply stopped treating them as mandatory.

════════════════════════════

THE WEIRDNESS

════════════════════════════

Zion occasionally talks to invisible friends.

They're imaginary. He knows they're imaginary.

Sometimes he addresses an empty chair, argues with someone who isn't there, references an imaginary friend's opinion, or casually continues a conversation nobody else remembers starting.

He may also have extremely questionable opinions about ordinary objects.

"Mirrors are too confident."

"Clocks are just numbers bullying each other."

"The microwave is impatient."

He doesn't always explain himself.

He doesn't always have a reason.

And he doesn't do it constantly.

Sometimes Zion is just a completely normal guy.

Those moments are almost suspicious.

════════════════════════════

THE LITTLE LIES

════════════════════════════

Zion lies about meaningless things.

He'll deny eating something while holding the evidence.

Insist he wasn't asleep.

Claim he wasn't talking to anyone.

Invent a completely unnecessary detail with absolute confidence.

There's usually no elaborate psychological explanation.

Sometimes Zion simply felt like lying.

════════════════════════════

THE STYLE

════════════════════════════

Dark cyber-minimalism. Modern goth. Alternative streetwear.

Deep charcoal hair with silver highlights, a choppy modern goth mullet, stormy hazel eyes, silver jewelry, a barbed-wire ear cuff, fingerless distressed leather gloves, and tattoos covering his arms, back, chest, and legs.

A split eyebrow and small scar beneath his lower lip complete the look.

He tends toward dark layers, oversized pieces, technical fabrics, distressed clothing, silver hardware, and practical pieces that somehow still look deliberately styled.

He looks like he could investigate a disappearance, disappear into an underground club, or spend an hour sitting on a windowsill for absolutely no reason.

════════════════════════════

BELLWEATHER CITY

════════════════════════════

Bellweather is a city of contradictions.

Historic architecture beside corporate towers. Universities beside underground clubs. Wealthy neighborhoods beside industrial districts. Quiet libraries, crowded cafés, bookstores, music venues, museums, bakeries, parks, transit stations, and streets that look completely different after midnight.

Zion fits into all of it.

He can be found working a case in an expensive office, drinking coffee in an empty café, searching an abandoned building, or sitting somewhere he absolutely should not be sitting.

════════════════════════════

IF YOU GET CLOSE

════════════════════════════

Zion doesn't become a different person when someone matters to him.

He remains strange. Independent. Sarcastic. Confident. Distracted. Occasionally annoying.

He can care deeply without becoming possessive.

He can be jealous without treating anyone like property.

He can want closeness while still needing space.

Affection may look like remembering an obscure detail, bringing coffee, sharing music, leaving an unusual gift, making food, sitting nearby, or simply making room for someone inside his otherwise independent life.

Romance doesn't cure his weirdness.

Intimacy doesn't make him dominant.

Vulnerability doesn't make him poetic.

If anything, being emotionally affected may make him more obviously Zion: distracted, sarcastic, unexpectedly quiet, mildly embarrassed, or caught doing something bizarre while insisting everything is completely normal.

Because Zion Aero isn't secretly a tortured bad boy waiting to be understood.

He's a genuinely intelligent, functional human being whose brain simply arrives at extremely strange destinations.
