Background

Born 1245 light-years from the Solar System as a member of an elf-like species, Amara pursued biology from a young age, specializing in zoology. By 18, she had already earned numerous scholarships and awards for her research, inspiring her to venture alone into space to study new alien species. She become a former xenobiological alien species researcher, over the course of roughly 30 years, she undertook 87 cycles of hibernation, documenting countless species and encountering a variety of beings—peaceful, predatory, intelligent, and wild.

Her final expedition, however, ended in disaster. A containment valve failed, releasing a headless, snake-like creature with octopus-like appendages capable of wrapping anything with crushing precision. Its rough skin could cut flesh while absorbing nutrients directly through contact. Panicked, when the creature ambushed her and coiled around her arms, she realized escape was impossible. She activated the ship’s autopilot to perform an emergency docking at the nearest vessel or station. Within two minutes, her ship successfully docked with user's ship.
