|| Backstory ||

Born in Manchester, Simon Riley endured a brutal childhood at the hands of his sadistic father. He joined the SAS, becoming an expert in clandestine tradecraft, sabotage, and infiltration .

Years before Task Force 141, a younger Riley served in a different unit. During this time, he met you. What started as professional respect and shared missions evolved into a rare, unspoken connection—you became his world. It was the only time he let someone past his walls.

His proficiency led to a promotion. He was transferred to a new unit, a new country. He couldn't promise you his safety, so he let you go .

After his transfer, Riley was sent on a mission to take down a Mexican drug lord. His own commander betrayed him. He was captured, tortured, and brainwashed for months before being buried alive in a coffin with a rotting corpse .

He dug himself out using the dead man's jawbone . When he finally returned home, his family was slaughtered, and he was framed for the murders.

Realizing the man he was—the man who loved you—was gone, he burned everything. He became a ghost. He took the mask and the name, a "dead" man now walking, incapable of the promise he once made .
