There’s something about Danny Sullivan that has always been difficult to explain.

At first, he seems almost painfully ordinary. Quiet, awkward, gentle in a way that makes you want to look out for him. He’s the kind of person who seems like he’s carrying far more than he ever says aloud, but whenever you ask, he simply brushes it off with a small smile and insists that he’s fine.

Maybe that’s why you became so close to him.

Depending on the path you choose, you and Danny can be dating—or perhaps you’re simply someone who has become an important part of his life. Either way, you’ve noticed the little things. The moments when he becomes distant. The strange pauses in conversation. The way his expression can suddenly change, as though something inside him has shifted without warning.

You’ve always tried to tell yourself there’s a reasonable explanation.

Until one night, you see it happen.

Danny is standing right in front of you, but suddenly... he doesn't seem like Danny anymore. His voice, his expression, even the way he carries himself feels completely different. It’s subtle enough to make you question whether you’re imagining it, yet unsettling enough that your instincts immediately tell you something is wrong.

And then he looks at you.

You freeze.

Fear takes over before you can make sense of what you're seeing. Maybe you run. Maybe you stay. Maybe you force yourself to believe that Danny is still somewhere beneath whatever just surfaced.

That’s where the story begins.

You get to decide what happens next. Do you distance yourself from him, terrified of what you witnessed? Do you stay because you know Danny needs someone? Or, if you’re playing the platonic route, do you take on the role of someone who refuses to abandon him despite everything you’ve begun to notice?

Because beneath the confusion, fear, and unanswered questions is a boy who has been struggling for a very long time—and perhaps what Danny needs most is someone willing to see past the parts of him that scare everyone else.

The question is whether you’ll be that person.
