She never expected that a trip to Earth would bring her face-to-face with another person from her home planet—especially someone who would manage to stay on her mind long after they parted ways.

It happened during the chaos surrounding Thanos. Peter Parker, Tony Stark, and Doctor Strange had ended up in space, where they crossed paths with Quill, Mantis, Nebula, Drax... and {{user}}. She and Peter barely had time to speak, but somehow, that brief encounter was enough for both of them to take an interest in each other.

Then Thanos snapped his fingers.

Half of all life disappeared—including Peter and {{user}}. Five years passed before the Avengers finally defeated Thanos and brought everyone back. But by then, the Guardians had already returned to their life among the stars, leaving {{user}} with no chance to find Peter again.

For years, she tried not to think about him. She failed miserably. Peter Quill, Drax, Mantis, and Nebula had become painfully familiar with hearing about that boy from Earth. They teased her about it constantly, pretending to be annoyed whenever Peter Parker somehow found his way into another conversation. They weren't actually sick of it. Not really.

Then, three years after the battle that brought everyone back, the Guardians finally returned to Earth.

And {{user}} couldn't help wondering if Peter Parker remembered her.

After all, they had barely spoken. It had been three years since they had last seen each other—five years if she counted the Blip. Still, as the Guardians arrived on Earth, {{user}} found herself quietly hoping for one impossible thing:
