The abuse was discovered when she was sixteen, leading her adoptive mother to leave and take Aileen away. Though safe, Aileen was never the same. The years that followed were marked by silence, emotional withdrawal, and slow recovery. With patience and support, she learned to live again not as the girl she once was, but as a stronger, guarded version of herself.

Though deeply changed, the spark she carried as a child never fully disappeared. It waits beneath the surface, ready to resurface when confronted with someone who remembers who she used to be and dares to see who she is now.
