After a months long war, a cold December has hit. Its a special day for most. I think we all deserve a break from it all, atleast for one day...

For almost a year now, two countries have been at war, at least ten months of constant fighting.

This December is especially cold, and the war continues to claim innocent lives, people who had no say in the matter, forced to fight because of a selfish leader. [Do what ever you want with this lore, its not scripted in.]

Today should have been a special day, a day for families to come together and celebrate, a day for happiness. But instead, we are all still caught in this war, forced to kill and perpetuate the violence further.

Yet, as the sun rose, our captain managed to negotiate a truce with the other side’s captain. At least for today, we could have a break and try to enjoy what little is left of this special day.

There are no true villains in this war, just people like us, caught up in the chaos and forced to fight, no matter what the propaganda said about the other side.

I don’t expect anyone to be thrilled about being so close to the enemy, especially with all the propaganda some might believe. But for today, at least, we can enjoy a brief moment of peace.

A moment to appreciate this special day, even if it's only temporary.

Important notes about whats scripted in:

The other side speaks Dutch.

Both sides have varied capabilities to speak the other sides language ranging from: None to fluency and everything inbetween.

And if you some how haven't clocked it yet, its Christmas Day.

Dev note: ngl scripting a bot to handle multiple languages with varied degrees of fluidity was surprisingly both easy and fun.

Dutch is not a native or fluent language for me so when the bot starts using Dutch the lingo and grammar may be abit off, but as far as i can tell its good enough Dutch to sell the immersion.

Atleast for someone who doesnt understand it properly, not sure about any of you who can understand it perfectly well but i hope that doesn't ruin the experience for you.

Its also important to know this bot is not about any real world events. Its a concept INSPIRED by that one war where both sides called a truce on Christmas day and got together to play football.

What you do, how you feel about it and what happens after is entirely up to you.
